Ha! Thing is, the kids likely aren't going to have the same door to come home to. We plan to finally gtfo of the city within 1-2 years of the youngest heading off to school, by then, our house will contribute nicely to our retirement. We likely won't be far away, either north GA, southern TN, or eastern NC.

Their 529s should cover college, unless that somehow goes insolvent. They can cover their own car/fuel. We'll keep a bed for them wherever we go, but it's probably not going to be somewhere convenient to school :D

Hey, what's this nonsense about your 'blown engine'?

We actually refer to it as “Baggo” here in the south. Cornhole is more of a midwestern name as I understand it. And yeah, vinyl for the logos. Ordered the bags from Scamland. I had all of the wood materials to build these. Still cost around $100. They are solid though without being too heavy.

It's called Cornhole here. Never heard Baggo used in Tennessee.

    I like cornhole. :)

I used to think cornhole was some weird sex game I didn’t want to know about until someone explained it to me over a case of beer many years ago. :D

I was a dummy and traded a perfectly well running 1989 4Runner for this 2007 Tundra. They said it was a "transmission issue and won't start". Turns out that is starts and runs but has a piston with a hole in it. It's just been TOO Hot, or raining this entire summer, so I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. I've also had other projects get in front of it like a wrecked Tacoma and my buddies 4Runner upgrades.

Feels like a new truck! Everything is working good except the leaky axles. I've still got some things to do interior wise and new headlights/turn signals. Hopefully @MrDirtjumper let's us raid his place so we can tag team the interior.

I got pissed the first time I heard it called cornhole. Wasn't it one of the big brewers or distillers that engineered that name?

I've lived in the south nearly all my life between LA, TX, FL, GA, with a short sub-3yr stints in SoCal and NYC. I'd never heard it called "cornhole" until maybe 20ish years ago. For the 30ish years prior, "bean bag toss".

It could be worse. Those could be worn on the keychain of a gf or wife instead of a croc.

The big reveal is when she pulls it out of her purse.

Lookin' good. State of TX doesn't have any issues with cracked windshields? I think it was FL where I was living that they make you fix the windshield, it's a violation to have a cracked one? One of the few states I lived in where the insurance company would pay to replace the windshield.

Like how pissed are we talkin? Like enough to drop out of the national competition and sell all your beanbags or?
I never even heard of the game til a couple years ago. Saw someone dragging their boards out into the street and asked what they were. Soon as he said "CORNHOLE!" I spit my beer all over the gawd damn place. Then I had to ask a second time.
    You're welcome:thumbsup:

As long as it's not severe or impeding vision it's fine.

Ours is on our windshield, yes. You go and get an inspection then take that to the DMV to get your sticker. We used to have both inspection and registration stickers in the window but they did away with that year's ago. It's nice when a cop pulls up behind you and can't tell your shits expired.

What all does the interior need? I follow some detailing channels on YouTube and you would be amazed what modern equipment can do to an interior. I'm talking cars with an actual swamp in the carpet due to leaks. Algae and plants growing due to water leaks were cleaned up and the carpet made to look new again.

It might be cheaper and easier to have it professionally cleaned.

Yeah, more like, "complete clearcoat fail"

But when you gotta repaint it to match anyway, it beats paying $500+ for one that's got solid paint, but the wrong color.

I was just bored and poking around for a minute looking for AC caps within a got-family-close-by radius, these two popped up.

I shouldn't be hunting, but I still am, passively.

I do the same thing. I've been hunting for RAV4 take off wheels for a year now. Most of them I find are out of state. Or I find a set locally and they want $1000 for the wheels and tires which I don't need or want.

What year? There's a set on my local NextDoor right now. I missed a set earlier this year, but I have a dude that's holding a set of OEM running boards, I think for a 2016. He said he has 'em hanging on his wall whenever I want them. (He also had wheels, take-offs, $150/set, which is why I messaged him, he ended up giving those away before I msg'd). Here's my NextDoor offering.

Pretty sure these are those damn "platinum composite", uh, "premium" wheels that came on our Highlander, but the smaller size. They're basically a composite/fiber wheel, wrapped in metal, with a platinum-colord face epoxied on. First time you hit the curb, it doesn't scrape, it rips the damn epoxied plate up on the front.

2012. It's more about the size than the year though. They offer both sizes throughout the years.

I've got an extractor, drill brushes, detail brushes, cleaners, the whole 9 yards. Plus I have a new deck, 4 speakers, and a 300x4 amp to go in. Oh, and my rear windows need the fix.

That's not bad at all. I don't know if I need a cap though. I could probably pick it up and hold it for somebody if they'd come get it.

Am I seeing correctly that you need a new driver side door card, due to cave-in, left of the handle?

This is going to sound stupid as hell, but the green colored Simple Green works wonders on getting funk out of armrests and door panels. It even gets GA clay out of door carpet.

Downside is, you need to remove the offending panel or flooring, spray-drench it w/Simple Green, then take a medium-stiff bristle brush to it, thoroughly spray it out with a garden hose. Also works on plastics/vinyls like the cup holders.

I wish I had some before-after shots from previous vehicles I've done this way. I never thought enough to take before/after shots. I can probably find some when I get home.
