Palm toward yourself, rested against the top of your steering wheel, middle finger straight up.

You actually reverse grip the top of the steering wheel with the palm towards you. Then activate the middle finger as needed.

Maybe I said it wrong… palm towards self, back of the hand rests against the tip of the steering wheel, middle finger extended.

Next time I see your truck, I’ll demonstrate.

My variation allows you to maintain grip on the steering wheel. I see you like to live life on the edge. Respect.

    wait a minute.... there's a skateboard thread??

don't forget rubber, or steel. there are also ball casters, as opposed to wheel casters
I have not but it looks like a gimmick to me. From someone whos been sk8ing my whole life I can guarantee the 'they'll just push things off to the side outta your way' pitch is bullshit. That one pic of the board on the sand with perfect tracks left behind is funny. @alb1k you've spent your fair shate of time on the sand, whatchu think? BTW how was your trip today? probably posted somewhere but i haven't seen it.
    BEST childhood movie EVER.

Are you uh..... tryin to get the guy beat up?

Has anyone ever seen an FGT RC w step side and bob’d frame? That w ‘05-06 4.0 MT v6 would be pretty darn interesting. Add a SC and a lightening bolt decal and call it TRD? Drop the suspension too?

Don't feel bad. Neither did I although I did make it my quest to unscramble the over-the-air scrambled porn. (This was BEFORE cable came to the area)

I do remember helping a friend pick up his "pirate" cable box from the same guy legitimately selling the cable back in the day before Comcast.

My first reaction as well! :fistbump:

Hmmn. I guess I didn’t consider that a dude might get a different reaction than I get. TBF as soon as we get close enough for me to see the driver’s reaction, and for that driver to see I’m a gal, I add a head nod and a big smile, then point back and forth at our trucks, and end with a thumbs up. But that’s a lot to type when it’s common sense. ;)

There may be something to those wheels, but they certainly will send you to your knees in sand. Any tire that isn't aired down on sand is a plow.
Trip was great, I didn't post anything, but maybe I'll link a vid or two. One exciting moment was when by buddy had his Jimmy on 3 wheels in a severe downhill rut and was teetering one strong wind gust away from goin on his side. Of course my vid camera died about 10 seconds too soon.

Even the old sealed Swiss and GMN bearings got crunchy af if you rode through sand once, I can't imagine the wheels make much of a difference. I agree; gimmick!

I’ve got Swiss bones ceramics in my board now, still just as fast as the day I got them 10+ years ago.
They do seem like a gimmick, but they seem to have a lot of popularity. But probably from people that haven’t a clue, like these two I saw in a room last week, knock off randal 180 downhill trucks, wheels almost spotlessly clean, and no scuffs on the deck. We always laugh at the kids walking with their board or a bike; you’ve got wheels!!!!!

Does anyone have headlamp recommendations? I have a few $25 units made by Black Diamond I thought we're ok until I got in that cave Saturday. I ended up having to supplement with a handheld light too. I'm thinking I need to switch to one powered by something bigger than AAA's.

My comment was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I remember the Yamaha shop had this headlight for night riding that was meant to go on your helmet. Never looked too closely at it or how it wired up, but always thought it was stupid.

Buddy of mine I gigged with all the time as a kid has a couple of these and swears by them: https://ghilliemonsteroutdoors.com/shop/ols/products/vts-frog-led-light-vts-frg-led-lgh1

In his case, he's wanting to spot gators also.

Swiss are awesome, I almost always ran those, GMN or NMB. I think it was the NMB bearings bitd you could pop the side covers off, pop the caged bearing out to clean and re-pack, which was a nice "longevity" feature. But for no-brainer, fast performance you got the some of the best there is.

Some dudes can be pretty cringey/creepy/stalky on internet forums, especially in what's a predominantly male-dominated activity (or just in general) so it's not something many women I know make blatantly obvious.

Little clues were dropped along the way, mostly in this thread I think, within the last year IIRC. :)

I dunno, I just post here. Way more than I should.

    It's a chebby though.

They put one on mine that I had to hide since we were working in a school. Master electrician comes with its downfalls.

Ouch. Should at least put the hood up like when you’re using a winch. And why not hook to the hitch itself and not the towball? That’s a big truck stuck suction style in the mud, gonna be a tough recovery either way. Sad to hear about the fatality for sure.
