I've gotten 3 invites now, same issue as you. Can't juggle multiple, and I have so much damn info linked out over here it's sort of become my reference area.

As much as I miss some of the people that switched up, and there's several I miss, but too much investment I can't carry with me, and I still talk to some who don't post publicly here but do PM (or we text msg).

It appears the other forum is owned by the same group owning VW Vortex, based on UI of the forum. I left Vortex (w/similar "shifty" username) back in '07 or something because, honestly, it was a dumpster fire. If it's still under the same ownership with same general BS allowed 15 years later, that's not something I need in my life RN.

Maybe something'll shift some day. Given my username, maybe it should be me?

A few over there showed me their true colors, some pretty raucous nonsense said about me. Hasn't stopped me from doing a solid favor here or there w/people who like to run their mouth. Some high school level BS, I'm glad is lacking here.

I misread that as "sweet tail", probably because there was only a pic of the backside of a dog quoted.

I'm thinking to myself, "what a weird thing to say about someone's dog!"

Maybe time to go to sleep over here. Youngest has Flu-A right now, he's had us running around in circles most of the day.

I walk to "the dunes"; great for off leash, and it's not the sidewalk. It's kinda shitty actually. But, great for off leash and not the sidewalk.

Said trail is the path to In-n-Out as well as the chicken place (Crack Shack) where I ate tonight. Nice to stumble home and not have to drive so I don't have to care that I've had a few post-vanity beers.

Packing while drinking seems acceptable to me, I'd imagine most warehouse people do so.

I'd mess something up. And it'd cost me.

I was repacking, truing, and new tires on wheels after beers a couple of weeks back. Threw them on the bike, came back the next morning, realized I put BOTH damn tires on backwards.

That's the kind of stupidity I'd pull off.

Frankly, it should be illegal to make as much as he does, especially considering how much money the source of his wealth caused us "simple" folk in counterfeit parts alone.

If he dedicated 1% of his income towards snuffing out counterfeits, the problem could easily be quashed. I know it doesn't even scratch the surface, but shy of little bullshit plastic bits and baubles and technology that's owned by Amazon (which they'd never, ever stock counterfeits of), I've all but stopped buying stuff there.

100% disagree. If you make something and people will pay a ton for it it should not be capped by law. That is a disincentive to success. It punishes drive. He may not use it the way you think he should, but he did build it. I cannot give a prime example of this without going into ban territory, but putting caps on success is the antithesis of a free market.

So, like, if he were no longer shielded from taxes the rest of us have to pay? <sigh>

Lobbed a question that clearly suggests an opinion, now backing away to avoid participation in any discussion which might get political.

Thinking about it in automotive, non-ban territory aspect, how it's impacted us here...

If someone released a car with a flaw that could cause undue expense or death, consumer safeguards exist to ensure the manufacturer corrects the mistake/failure at no expense to the consumer. This has happened with our Tundras. Balljoints being one example, frames being another. They built it. They must fix the problem.

It's no secret who created scAmazon. It has a major flaw that costs undue expense, and could even cause death, and that problem is rampant counterfeits. This is the result of their failure to put basic, simple consumer safeguards in place, namely, cutting costs and corners by not thoroughly implementing inspection of delivered inventory.

I agree with a free market. I disagree with a free market that has little to no consumer safeguards in place, and no responsibility or ownership to fix the issue when clear problems exist.

If Toyota can fix my truck, scAmazon can fix their counterfeiting problem. I don't care whose pocket it actually comes out of, frankly, but I think it should come out of the funding of the product/service creator, it's their baby. In which case, he'd just maintain the same pay, and find a way to eek it out of the employees' pay. I'm not naive.

I hear you, and I'd be on board with exploring regs to increase consumer protection. That is not what I objected to. You said
and that is what I disagree with. It should not be illegal to earn the most you can earn.
