As a successful motorcyclist, i've always got my game face on & paying attention. When i drop the ball, there could be serious consequences.

YES the tailgate down thing would always have the light on, unless you flipped the switch in the cab the opposite way, thus killing the light in the tailgate down mode.

WOW, I just threw my first code...
Truck has a P0172 showing, is this always caused by a bad MAF, or can the MAF be cleaned to fix this, or do I need a new MAF???

Clean it. Clean the plug too. Then look for V's or ohms, whatever the computer wants.

And just to be clear, your proposed approach, with tailgate up, it can turn the lights on or no?

first proposal, yes. In order to turn the lights on with the TG closed. But a 3 way switch is mo'betta.

Ah but it’s 3 way up/down so lights on w tailgate up is different direction from lights on w tailgate down

that would bug me, but I have issues :)

one could run 2 strings of lights in the bed. One string to an on/off in the cab, one string to an on/off at the tailgate.
on/off switch would always be in correct position.
Potential to have double the light.
Simpler (in my mind) wiring, cheaper switches.

    It's good
First impressions on the rx460 brake upgrade on an 05 DC 2WD W/ added weight.
    More throw, more pedal travel
    grabs better with less pressure
Provides more confidence, but I haven't ran it down a hill and/or run super fast to a stop yet or locked the ABS. Jury out on that.
My rears are not out of adjustment in the sense they aren't loose. But getting to that point just before they drag is a pain.
Speedi-Bleeder arrived today, looking forward to playing with that.

So I actually have dual color strip lighting for my shell. The plan is red for the auto (cargo on the Tundra, dome trigger on the 3G Taco) and white for manual (shell window open, maybe tailgate down but I think shell window open covers all my use cases).

There's a legit nice-to-have for a defeat of the "tailgate down" / "shell window open" logic if transporting something large/bulky where you need the "tailgate down" / "shell window open" to transport.

Granted I now have 3 trucks and one has no shell so the chance so giving a f about this are minimal but in an ideal world with only one truck I totally get the value of a defeat to the auto.

The Cargo rocker in 3G Taco is really pretty solid as is any rocker. On means "I know what I'm doing, give me light" while off means "just STFU" and auto is the normal default state of "be my little b and do it for me".

Now this is a tiny bit easier with a switchpros if we're talking the trigger wire since you can turn the circuit on or off with the button _and_ get the auto trigger for default use. But I very much like 3 way rockers and they look better than the switchpros panel does.

Still, with FGT and our lack of good switch spots, I'm switch-pros bound. With that said, I sure do wish we had more than 1 aux trigger and one possible 2nd trigger. I'd want hood, dome, cargo, tailgate, maybe shell door, high beam, drl and maybe parking light. Though most of those could feed discrete relays but still, I don't get why they are limited on triggers, why not just have 8 or 10 or 12 and let people not use them, they can't possibly be complicated to honor. Then you could have legit boolean logic to decide if you want circuit A auto on based on 3 or 4 triggers all doing very simple things like detecting X is open or Y is closed or high beams are on or ...

Haha. You guys….. all the poor fella wanted was for his toggle switch to change the pin/momentary switch on the tailgate from NO to NC. (normally open to normally closed)
So yeah, everytime you flipped the toggle switch, whether tailgate was up or down and whether light was on or off, it would still always change the status of the light. I don’t think it can be done without DPDT relays, but I’m no electrical engineer either.

As I said earlier, we need a Raspberry Pi, maybe a couple of PIC processors, and at least a 4 digit unlock or activate code to make the led work!

Don’t forget a timer and IR thermal sensor in case he leaves the light on and his thermal signature isn’t detected.

Forget using battery power, i can wrap my dog in a vest of peltier panels for a seebeck generator.

not really sure how useful bed lights are gonna be, anyway. My flashlight is more than up for any task ive encountered so far, but i got em for my bday, so i figure i'll mount em up.

We need to shut the grid off for a week in august and a week in feb to weed out the weak.

about 10% of the deaths from the icepocolypse were from people running their cars in their garages. Or propane grills in their houses.

I have a baja designs dome light I need to get mounted inside the cap and figure out where to steal the cargo light power from.. I need to see what pin it is in the back of the box and get a single pin connector male and female to make any harness… I hate cutting or splicing the factory harness.

Hmmm, I have a Baja S1 or whatever the little one I pulled from the hitch is. I don't mind tapping factory because I solder there. Maybe I'll put that in the bed on a tailgate switch...

If it’s a flood pattern that would probably work ok. But it would also be borderline too bright in my cap…. I don’t have carpeting lol

It's flood, still not ideal - I was thinking about the rack somewhere, but I'm out of switches, Led strips would be better.

Alright buddy, lol. Here's what you have or have not been waiting for:

The rears are in almost perfect adjustment. tight if anything - so no stop loss there.
I power bled the lines today and I am tight without any air I believe. I do think my fluid is less than brand new, so I plan to flush and replace.
In general, the brakes feel more responsive and better in normal driving. They react to softer pressure.
There is more pedal travel overall, as the bigger calipers take more volume. Not really noticeable until you stomp them.
I have the original MC and booster, so nothing to say about that.
From what I can tell with some highway and hard braking - these are not going to change my life. Room for improvement may be there, but as is - better or same as before.
Super great around town and normal driving. More responsive. When you need that high pressure to shut down those larger rotors, hmmm......same? A little better? Maybe better and moving to 34s is creating the rolling resistance that doesn't allow a fuk yeah race car feel.
