Pitman puller will work, but you may want to have an impact ready to really bang at it.

Hey @Jack McCarthy returning to this due to relevance.

About a week after my reply on your toe situation, a random blood blister popped up on my bicep. Just figured I pinched it hard lifting something, working on something. drained it, then moved on. A few days later, it came back. So I waited a week or two for it to harden up and flicked it off. Next day, it was back. So I tried for the next 5 weeks to get in w/my wife's dermatologist office before finally breaking down and finding someone else who got me in 10 days after that - I was at ~9 weeks since it appeared at that point and it was still there..

They hit it with local, scraped it off and sent for pathology ... sure enough, not the news anyone wants to hear, I forget which 'noma' they said it looked like, it was the less aggressive one. So now I get to go back in 2 weeks for them to check margins, full skin check, and take more samples. While it sucks, I'd rather catch it now than have it jump to something else and cut life short.

This is what it looked like. Looks simple enough, right? Except blood blisters don't stick around for weeks at a time.

Damn. I get blood blisters all the time. They’re small and I only had one removed. It required a scraping and cauterization. Hope it turns out well for you.

I got lucky on the toe. That speck you see I later dug in with my fingernail and scraped it off. Hadn’t come back and the doc didn’t believe until I showed him. I think I got lucky since mine was primarily in the buildup of thick skin of my callous.

Odyssey bumper for me. This time the wife dinged it. Gonna get out the BFH again and see how it looks once I’m done thrashing it.

I'm doubting yours stick around for months at a time

Thanks! Doc said not to sweat it. Gave me one of those, "Good you caught it early and didn't ignore it" speeches.

This isn't my first rodeo with the skin stuff. I spent a lot of my life on the water in a bass boat, starting at a really young age. Skin is the largest organ on your body and got microwaved plenty. Don't get out on the water as much these days, but the damage is done, just gotta stay vigilant now.

Yeah, I need to get my hands on the high-dolla Napa one if I can borrow it again. The pitman arm puller from Autozone isn't strong enough and starts bending the ears.

Something like this would definitely do the trick though.

If all else fails, there's a local driveshaft shop I've read good things about and might call in the morning. If they'll tackle the double cardan too that would be awesome, since I was going to leave that alone. They'd paint and balance it, not that it necessarily needs it.

My mistake, I don’t have blood blisters, I have cherry anginomas which is just a concentration of blood vessels that look like a small red mole. Every time you pick ‘em, they bleed. They have to be cauterized to stop the bleeding and further growth of them in the same spot.

They sound similar, but I guess they’re not. I wouldn’t know what to do for the blood blister, but yes I’d be tempted to pop ‘em.

I've felt that I had shot the rear brakes, so I'm doing all corners. Stupid drums really didn't want to come off. More indication stuff was done. But I leaned a pro trick, easy now - I'll put a picture up later. Prob old news to some of you guys.

@des2mtn heat the yoke up and quench with oil. I like to use a large vise to press in/out ujoints, but I grew up having one handy. First time I had to change a 1978 chevy, I found out that they injected nylon instead of clips...

lucky as these things go, could have been a lot more expensive.

Ugh! Scary. I’m glad you got that removed. Good vibes for clear margins.

And you: yuck, but good news, and thanks for getting back to us with how it turned out.

Oh, Man, I wish! That will be a great trip. Perfect time of year up there. :)

F man that’s close to me. I am not sure if I can use the dash but for $350 I’d probably buy the parts I want and leave the rest for him to resell? How stoked would we be if this were RC?

Yup. I've got a bunch of the angiomas as well. Very familiar. The ones on my scalp are really fun for a head-shaver like me.

Yellowstone/Grand Teton is amazing, get there if you ever have the chance. We only got to see a fraction on our short trip but I'm coming back for sure, the pictures can't do it justice.

hmm... anyone know if icon uses the same shock housings as the 1st gen tacomas? i can confirm they're the same body as my 01 tacomas main body. looks like a top hat and shock rod would make it fit the 1st gen taco.

    they're from a 5th gen 4runner

but im REALLY interested in making them fit the tundra... because.. why not? they were free. i have springs for them laying around too.

i know the rears will not fit though. too long

Get specs on extended length and compressed length and compare to those of 1st gen tundra, but I don't think so...

These are king specs for 2000-2006 tundra. Collapsed length is the one to look at.
    • Measurements: Extended – 19.5″, Collapsed – 15.325″

@Casper421 has Icons. Rod end is different and maybe the shaft too? His top hat looks a tiny bit thicker.
