    Keep it simple sally.
Granted I wasn’t having any issues when I did mine, but I’m glad I went with the most basic kit available.

You think it's just a case of sticking with the Gen1 Hewitt kit, vs. the new GenII? Sounds like the newest version may be fraught with glitches...

Possibly, I also don’t EXACTLY understand the difference between the two, their descriptions were almost the same other than some plug and play options but still required splicing wires.
I went with the Slyfox box which is even more simplified, might not come across as “nice” as the Hewitt packages but I’ve had no issues and it was a straightforward install.

I had to buy myself booze and made myself a rack of ribs. And my daughter bought me something that hasn't arrived yet, with her credit card, the one I pay the bill for

Those ribs look tasty! Is that post glaze, pre cut? I’m the absolute worst at cutting ribs! Maybe it’s my knife, maybe I don’t know what I’m cutting, probably a combo of both!

Yup. 250° for a couple hours, sauced and dropped the temp to 150 until the mac was finished 20ish minutes.

Cutting is the worst part the bones are crooked when they shouldn't be lol.

They always cook way faster than I expect or my smoker is hotter than the controller says. These weren't fall off the bone but were pretty tender. I'll probably drop to 200° the next time, no one else in the house is a big rib fan so I don't make them often.

I've been having issues with a shock eyelet and perch since the axle incident in AZ, and yesterday the perch and coil shifted.

No bad carnage but I have to replace a hard caliper line. Got the truck on blocks today, pulled the shocks and rebooted a CV that was ripped too.

Someday I hope I’m on your call list. Though not sure it’s worth owning and storing a trailer. I wouldn’t mind it if I had more space.

Yeah, storing its one thing but also matter of getting a trailer that's rated for the weight and is wide enough/ has driveover fenders. I pay for roadside assistance so might as well use it when I can.

Yeah I was kinda pissed my mom was talked into using her single axle trailer to haul my cousins 1st gen runner. I was like you did what? “Well it fit”……..

If you cook em right, you can just pull em apart. No cutting necessary.

Well we’ve gotta see pictures of this shock eyelet/coil perch shifting fiasco. I’m trying to imagine what you’re talking about and I just can’t.
And what happened to your brake line? Snag on a rock and severed? I think just yesterday somebody was talking about carrying extra brake lines…..
oh shit. That was you with the angry face to Voss. Now the angry face makes sense.
Okay well, nothin personal fellas, but these DC’s on flatbed tow truck pics,….. you know we’re gonna have to file these into the DC vs. AC archives. Great pics tho, keep em comin….
Seriously tho glad you’re both okay and got your rigs home. I’ll talk a lil smack cuz I’ve got an AC and feel obligated, but I hope sometime before gas is $20/gal, I might get to go play in the dirt with you guys. Cheers:cheers:

The brake line stories got me re-thinking mine. I ordered some new ones and I guess it should be no surprise that one of the old hard lines broke upon removal. I'm happy with my replacements, but they do need some routing / zip ties. I'll probably get a second set.
