I've had similar happen with 'free' listings on here. Rando shows up out of the blue, "oooh! i need that!" then never posts again. Happened recently with a free OEM skid plate I picked up from another local member. I was waiting on another member to get back to me on whether or not we were going to meet-in-middle, and it fizzled out a couple months later. I was curious if the one-poster would contribute to the forum at all after. Nope. You can find similar behavior going back quite a ways in the 1GT sales section. One forum member was giving away their OEM head unit and OEM non-JBL amp. One went to a person who posted only once in their account lifetime, just to ask for it. The other went to someone who posted twice (I think in that specific thread?) asking for it. Those people never came back.

I don't dig on that. If you're going to ask for freebies, give back to the community that's giving to you. Opportunistic freebie-hoppers suck.

Plot twist: The AI is studying humans. Each one of your submissions are mental notes helping the AI discover how the human mind works. It's painting us all as 7 year olds right now.

There are two specific guys at work, that I always say this about them; if someone were handing out free dog turds, they would ask for 2-3………

One of my neighbors a couple doors down is like that. Day-after trash day, a lot of people in the surrounding area will put good-but-used stuff at the curb and 'curb alert' it on NextDoor, FB, OfferUp, etc.

I have a neighbor, you'll see him driving around day after trash day picking all of it up in his little couple-years-old Civic Si or whatever. Not long after, they're back on NextDoor, OfferUp, CL, or FB Marketplace for sale. I stopped giving him shit after I saw him re-sell my stuff the 2nd or 3rd time, or I put it out after he goes to work in the AM.

Actually, nix that. I forgot, I scrolled past and actually read the error. Then realized it was blocked because I was connecting from one of our offices in Europe. Doh!

Listing is actually alive and well.

But wait .. you forgot to list pronouns and how those humans identify.

Gah, if AI ever does become sentient, its going to be sooooo confused, I think it might blow itself up.

I'm genuinely joking with the above, no offense intended or anything, to anyone reading.

Your comment has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me.

And it also explains a lot about one or two people in my life, specifically, who are habitually offended.

It's tough for me. I show significant respect for others (whether deserved or not) and give a lot of leeway, don't mind stepping out of my way to appease. At the same time, I've a constant comedy sketch going on in my head around logic flaws and absurdity I see in some of people's demands.

    The two don't mix well.

Reminds me of my late uncle in Vegas, best engine guy I've ever met in my life. When I was really young, he would pick at me to no end. "You skateboarding sissies with your long hair", stuff like that. Didn't dawn on me until I was a married adult hanging out w/him, he was only doing it b/c he actually thought the world of me. If he didn't like you, he just didn't talk to you or flat-out ignored you or dismissed most of what you said.

So this was basically me with my uncles as well, I love them. But as of recent, it’s been nice to be away from that attitude and environment for the past two years, and makes me remember to not be like them. I still tease my kids but not like they did, and I tell them so. It’s actually become a fun game; the other day when I got home they were “hiding” I knew where one was because he announces he’s hiding, but the other one wasn’t in his usual spot, he did actually scare me hahah and I made a big deal and told him I peed my pants, he’s all no way your just teasing me! You got me!!!!
We’ve also been hiking and almost to the end, he had a melt down and said I needed to carry him; he then turns to my friends with a shit eating grin and says, I was just teasing! And keeps trekking down the trail

The time draws nigh. Learn me what you can about front end parts.

are there larger balljoints from dc’s or newer tundras? Do I have to get matching LCA’s or knuckles? Has a consensus been made between oem vs poly control arm bushings? Sway bar and steering rack bushings? Oem vs aftermarket wheel bearings? Who makes the best UCA? Shock tower and spindle gussets worth the hassle?

anyone heard of anyone using btf fab parts?

12yo, I watched about the first 25 mins so far. It's interesting. Not buying it all, like the Mars and pyramids shit is far-fetched, but it's interesting to see someone acknowleging polar shift that I've been saying is coming before the end of my lifetime - the science has been there since I was in high school, but predicting when it'll actually happen is virtually impossible.

I literally had no idea this existed though. And the reference to merkaba got me listening to Tool on the ride to work, so that's always a plus :bananadance:

Oh dude. I like to listen to suspicious 0(<~zero)bservers for solar and polar and world temp trend maps. I kinda ignore the politics and who wrote what paper first drama.

but the windy app, while local weather forecasting is hit or miss, interesting to look at global temp and pressure data.

Honestly, it's just the fact it's 25% newer and under 100k. It may not be better, but under their formula it'll always score better, y'know?

Moms 2014 qx80 was ‘totaled’ and after haggling got her a 2016 with cooled seats straight up. After an initial offer almost 10k under. Before the chyna vyrus.

they totaled it because the step and both door skins were damaged. It’s a racket, because they’d rather give more money, than lower the price of the buy back once we said the damage and repair would be inspected so it wouldn’t have a salvage title.

I’ve been offered $20k at a gas station. Removing the front bumper has scared those old men away, but I got his card. He wants to buy my tractor and trailer, too for an additional $10k

What's the end goal? The 1.5 gens have upgraded ball joints, but you do need a 1.5 gen knuckle. I was going to get the siberian poly bushings, but they are out of stock so I went with moog.

UCA it's JBA, Camburg, Total Chaos or SPC.

Energy suspension steering rack bushings, for I did the same for sway bar bushings and end links.

That kit you linked look awesome!

One of my weekend projects...My LED Fog Lights are not working and have never worked since I installed them. I replace all the bulbs on the truck with LEDs (interior and exterior) and all are working great with the exception of the Fogs. When I press the fogs switch with the headlights on low beam the headlights switch to high beam but the fogs don't come on. If I press the fogs switch when the headlights are on high beam nothing happens. My fog bulbs are Amazon.com: AUXITO 9006 HB4 LED Fog Light Bulbs, 6000LM Per Set, 6500K Cool White with CSP LED Chips, Daytime Running Lights DRL Bulbs for Cars, Trucks, IP67, Pack of 2 : Everything Else. I have the Diode Dynamics Flasher installed. So is it the cheap scAmazon bulbs or something else?

Another project is to install some Ride88 bed mount bike racks.

I'd try to swap your bulbs back to halogens and see if the issue goes away. If it doesn't, it may not be the bulbs.

A common side effect users report here after installing LED headlights in particular is the fog lights won't work anymore. Or at least we've seen a dozen or more threads to that effect in the last couple of years. I think it has something to do with resistance on the circuit? Like, maybe the resistance on the circuit with LED vs. Halogen more closely resembles the resistance on the circuit w/halogens when high beams are on? (default OEM setting is no fogs while high beams on)

I wish I could remember the fix for this, but I don't. I opted not to go LED on my exterior lights because of all the issues I saw others have. Maybe the solve was adding resistors on the headlight circuit?
