It’s been triple digits all week. But I got my garden deer-proofed. Got my pond cleaned and running. Been hiking with the puppy. Pretty much anything I can do to keep from messing with the truck.

Not gonna lie, I was really expecting the Lunch thread to take 2 hours to get caught up on my return. Shockingly only took like 3 hours total to fully catch up after 8-10 days out with only 30ish minutes in between.

There are several faces I'm not seeing posting, but not going to jump to probable conclusions on why. If the probable is why, I totally get it though and can't blame anyone. Would be nice to see things more back-to-normal, whatever "normal" is.

I love the fact that when an expensive brand name prescription goes generic, you end up paying hundreds of dollars more because manufacturer coupons don’t apply. Even switching to the same brand name medication dispensed in a different way which doesn’t have a generic, I need to get it filled out of state because Commichusetts here won’t allow for the discount if the medication is even remotely the same.

I mean, Mark Cuban is at least trying to put a dent in that, looking to be the Bezos of the pharma world.

If you haven't heard about his store yet, I'm not surprised, here's a direct link to the medication search page.
Here's some best-case examples of what you can expect from there, if they're carrying what you need.

Sometimes capitalism works. I'm sure this'll go south eventually same way scAmazon has, and I wouldn't doubt if Bezos jumps in to compete with him, but for now, maybe it'll help you out.

@Shifty My medication isn't on the list unfortunately. Thankfully, though I save $300 getting in filled in my neighboring state. Just need to spend $20 in gas to get there and back.

The biggest downside to generic is that they aren't all cheap until years later (supposedly). What's worse is the amount I pay can vary wildly from quarter to quarter since they are always being re-negotiated by the middle man.

Keep your eyes peeled on that place. They're supposedly planning on adding hundreds or thousands of medications between now and end of year. They're just spooling up at the moment.

Made it to Philadelphia. Next stop Barcelona. Last stop Ibiza. Airport drinks are ridiculous.

I'll post a pic of Ibiza once we get there tomorrow.

Sometimes it's more logical just to pay for Sky Lounge and enjoy whatever free booze and food they offer.

Just getting back from Portugal myself, weather was amazing but looked like it was heating up. Hopefully you don't get snagged up in the airline issues happening in north Europe. I had to connect out of Amsterdam to get back home, all flights delayed because of airline/airport issues in UK & Ireland.

I upgraded to the Delta Reserve Amex at the beginning of the year and the lounge access is one of my favorite perks.

I fly too much and have Diamond status with Delta. Club access is a perk for that too. Nice to have a place to hang out between flights. Don't usually get to enjoy the free booze due to work responsibilities, but the food is alright. And Free wifi.

My better-3/4 has them as a client and flies enough for work she's Platinum. We definitely cashed in on the perks on the way out of town, but no time on the way back.

Amex has changed their policies in recent years to make several cards require payment to get in, including the Delta branded cards. Makes me sad. Never have to worry about it when she's with, though.

Oh I know, you mentioned it before.

But fishing isn't about actually catching anything. And you don't need a fancy rod and reel to make it happen.

Unfortunately, unless you're paying cash it doesn't help much. Also, medications I believe need to be prescribed by a Canadian doctor to use pharmacies there. The nice thing about Canada though is when a patent ends after 12 years, generics are made.

Here in US the medication is "repurposed" for another ailment in it's last year before patent expiration thus extending the patent another 12 years. (yeah, I've been through that already)
