I can't speak to this, no direct experience.

Having just left one of those shipping companies - the last few years (Covid) everyone has started ordering in. Shipping volume where I was more than doubled & trebled + during holidays. Couldn't hire regardless of wage, signing bonus. Good jobs, very good pay, union benefits/wages/insurance, pension, work not too hard, hours fantastic - couldn't hire for sh*t. So profits shot through the roof, of course quality went to the crapper. Day late, week late, whatever nobody had time to care. Too much volume - just cram more in there. If the stuff breaks - oh well, they should have packed it properly. I didn't work for FedEx, but I certainly get why they sucked so bad, little surprised they still suck so bad though.

I find taking the side of business is harder. As if most employees give two shits about the health of the business? I think it's easy to take the side of the employee. Those bastards need to pay us more. They should be giving us more benefits the cheapskates. So many people have quoted boss makes a dollar, I make a dime, always I take my shit on company time. Seems like people forget they've made a contract when they take a job. A person sells their time to the company. Company pays employee agreed upon amount, but employees don't seem to have a qualm to not give the company all their attention during the time they've sold to the company. If you sell a car to someone, you don't hold onto a key and keep using the car for your own purposes. If you sell your time to a company, it's not your time any more. Get off your phone, don't check your social media & take your 30 minute poop at home or on your break.

Don't get me wrong. I will quickly & strongly go to battle to protect & improve my employees circumstances. But just as quickly & strongly will I go to battle to protect the company and increase it's profits. There is a contract between employee & employer. I hold both sides to the agreement & don't tolerate nonsense from either party.

YMMV. It's not like anyone is going to change anyone's mind here. Guess the time would be better spent starting another Sequoia thread. :)

i might’ve asked before, but what was it anchored down with? I need to put one up for grandma and have been thinking about burying some buckets to concrete it down. The sand around here wouldnt hold the screw style anchors, and i cant really have anything sticking up she might trip over.

I’m not sure I completely follow it but I believe Zuk has informed me that my stock gears are in very good condition. So if someone needs 3.90’s I should pass them on. I’m not sure if Noah needs them or not. One idea is harvest thirds and send to Zuk then he swaps since he has them already. Another one is I take ‘em home and ship out to someone for a self install.

I don’t think there is too much I can do with them unless I buy another Tundra with gear problems? Which seems unlikely.

If grandma had a couple SHO’s to tie it to, that would definately be the plan.

I need to make a trip up there sometime, when the wind dies down, to heckle him into putting all the good parts onto porkchop.

concrete is a good option, but keep in mind - those tents are really just HUGE sails waiting to catch a breeze. Use lots of concrete.

Mine at home is anchored down with cinder blocks. The wind tore out over a dozen screws when it had a metal roof.

    SHOs make great anchors!

I imagine I'll start working on them in the fall. Maybe pull the subframe off the 92 while it's still spring and sell it for scrap.

I'd look into something like these
    https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/shelterlogic-shelterauger-30-in-earth-anchors-4-pack

That deep the sand should have enough to hold it down. I use 20 inch spikes to hold down a 10x20 and it's survived some pretty heavy winds. Use one at every leg and loop ratchet straps around the connectors at the top of the wall.

Does your grandma need to buy the setup? I've got one in the shed that you could have free of charge. Pretty sure I have the heavy tarp and everything for it. You are welcome to it. I bought it in college for chili fest, and have hauled it through two moves without ever using it. I honestly don't think I will ever use it again. If I did it would just be to see who shits a chicken first, the HOA or my wife.

You haven't met my wife, or done the dance @daveeasa mentioned recently. I had a badass 12x24 shed built in the backyard a couple of years ago, I'm pretty proud of it. She refers to it as the FEMA trailer in our backyard.

Crackie was thoroughly upset today when I went to fire him up. Huge puff of blue smoke from the exhaust.

@Darkness approved Italian tune up seems to have done the trick there.

Checked the tires air pressure since the front left looked low. Was at 13 psi. Filled up to 25.

Front right was 38 psi. Deflated to 25.

    Rears were at 38 psi.

    265/75/R16

Think I'm gonna start selling some tools I won't use or haven't used. Bout ran out of guns I'm willing to sell. Got to keep a pistol for each vehicle, and already let go of one of my Ars. Gotta keep the 9mm carbine. May sell my other Ar,, but with current legislation... may not.
