I downloaded it. I wanna take a rip in my work truck. Ironman has slowed considerably, so that won't be very impressive.

Look at how boring that name is for black. Eww. So boring. Who would want that?

Its like all those artists who can go by one name. Prince, Madonna, Cher, Morrissey, Pink, umm.... shit I don't wanna be associated with any of those! Mine is "Dark Black", a rare dealer option. You won't find documentation on it anywhere.

I know. But my truck is on jackstands in Jason’s yard. I’ll ask him though. Just feel like a jerk bothering him for dumb stuff.

I’m trying to think if I’ve seen desert sand mica before. That color looks close to quicksand. Interesting.

Timberland Mica is still my favorite and so rare. I've only seen it on a few trucks. One member here has it. I think it's @tacoguybill

Honestly Toyota offered a lot of colors for 1st Gens over the years but some appear to have been really rare.

I saw what had to be a 2000 last week in Platinum Metallic. That's the only year they offered that color. It wasn't great but I guess I can't talk crap with white.

That's what my truck is. "Natural White" or similar was the name of it.

And this is where I found mine.

Then I went to AutomotiveTouchUp.com which is where I've purchased paint touch-up in the past that matches awesome. However, their 056 was a little too yellow to be a great match. My white seems a bit more white-white, their Natural White is slightly off-white. 10ft test you can't tell, but up close it's pretty clear.

Just remember: Toyota's solid, non-metallic paint colors are single stage (no clearcoat). A lot of places will try to get you to buy clear for touch-up. I'm assuming it's just a generic thing they offer to everyone.

Interesting @Daveesea got the all weather guard package. I thought that was typically equipped for northern states due to cold winters.

Assuming you're talking about my sticker, the funny thing is I goofed with the new reman starter and I think I now have a non-HD. I should dig up the receipt and check at some point. And that battery is long gone of course. Dunno about the heater, I assume that's for interior heat? Kind of a useless package really.

It could also be that the paint on our 20 years old trucks has changed some. I've never had great luck with touch up paint.

I even bought an OEM touch up pen for the RAV4 and it didn't match at all.

Yeah, the shop painting my gas door painted the shell. He just paints a lot of stuff and though he remembered me, he didn't remember the paint code off the top of his head. They know the drill, he just wanted to be sure it was 056 and not 040 I guess. I was 95% but now I'm 100%, there's no other white than 056 possible for FGT.

Not this time, though I do appreciate you being on high alert on this type of thing :)

Just a new gas filler door. Mine has one broken hinge and some paint imperfections as well. It seems like an easy thing to replace and something nice to have properly working.

I'm intentionally not repainting the whole truck so I can put scratches in it without crying. That's an important part of the thing, I want to be able to use it rather than polish it with a diaper.

Look into Gaia or Backcountry Navigator Pro. I personally like Backcountry Navigator Pro but it's not as intuitive. With the phone in airplane mode but GPS on, you can record your ski tracks via GPS and get stuff like average speed, elevation change, etc. It will record the max incline and decline in percentage too. You can change the accuracy settings too where it will record a GPS plot every second.

I record all of my GPS tracks when I drive, hike or ride my motorcycle. I'm not as concerned about average speed and stuff so I don't worry about pausing the track recording. For data where time is a factor, you'll need to be on top of pausing and starting the app when you stop moving or skiing.

This type of app is a little different from a 0-60 1/4 mile one, but it's very handy.

That’s what I’m planning on yes. However, I don’t hate it the way it is now, so I’m not in a hurry. I thought when I went to 35’s that it would be a slug off the line. Snot tho.

I got the front in the air. One was dragging more than the other. Pulled that wheel and believe I had a sticky caliper piston. Rebuilt the caliper and got it all back together in the dark. All seems good but I haven’t lifted and spun the wheels to check drag again since then.

edit: * ‘in the dark’ is why the investigation ended there

But then I couldn’t go 90-95 without winding out like a 2-stroke. Nothin against em, for a dirt bike; 2-stroke is WAY better than 4-stroke. All. Day.
