I’d drill into that slab and use epoxy bolts or big red-heads to bolt down a ‘chain-to’ of some kind. I worked on a house once where the owner had a 1911 Harley in the garage, and it was chained to the concrete floor. He had cut out and repoured a small footing and wet-set a huge steel ring and a length of beefy chain, but you don’t gotta get that crazy. Couple bolts would do, and I know you’ve got a roto-hammer.

could just bolt down a wheel chock with your cryptochain runnin thru it

Oh I do. Plenty of bullshitters in the industry just because they test well

I wouldn’t naturally like this, but for some reason I think it’s kind of fun.

I remember 3 years ago when there would be one post a weekend in the Best Gen section, I just spent an hour going through 141 in this thread alone since midday yesterday! I really like and appreciate where this community has ended up!! Happy Sunday everyone!

What are you smoking it on? An Egg? You should let it ride as long as possible without opening the lid. You let too much heat escape if you open it to spritz it every 30-45 min. Put a drip pan in there with water. That'll do the trick. Smoke it at 225 and don't open it for 12 hrs. Just my opinion tho based on experience, practice, and failure.

Those of you with patch collections, where do you find them? I've only managed to acquire two. Not even sure how I got the American flag.

Until it flips over. Little to no support there I believe since it wasn't designed that way.

This friend isn't capable of much and has 4 kids to juggle. We're hoping for suggestions on easy street / throw cash at it and get somewhere. Is the best option reupholster w new foam and katzkin perhaps? Or is there a bolt in Lexus? Or slides + a specific seat? @empty_lord any suggestions for 97 4Runner seat upgrade?

Softtopper makes a lotta sense to me, outside of security. Not that a hard shell is really that much security but it does at least slow down an oppotunistic thief with a pocketknife.

My wife was insistent on shell for the dog to ride in the back. I wanted to get a crash rated kennel and strap it down. I didn't find her logic overly compelling but now I effectively own two 4wd vans. Oh well, not really complaining, just wish I had an easy way to go topless.

Green Mountain Peak, if I'm remembering this wasn't to long after I got it so it's been a learning experience from my old Traeger Junior.

There’s a thread on here somewhere that CSU viper started. That had some good leads in it. I’ve gotten a few good ones on Amazon… and learn the names of the vendors that way. Somehow I found Violent Little Machine, very much a dude site… they had a lot of offerings that reflect the humor of this 1st gen regulars crowd, but I haven’t been on in a while. And truck friends give them to each other as gifts.

I like to earn my patches or stickers. Gotta buy that thing, or drink that beer, or climb that mountain, or float that river. Occasionally they are a gift from someone who went somewhere cool. Then the patches make me smile when I see them.

My first convertible was a 72 delta 88 olds. The thing was massive and got 8 mpg but it was fun to drive.

I was looking at small SUVs & Prii. Turns out a low miles garaged Lucerne decked out granny classic with V8 would be cheaper to buy & run for the next year to wait out current economic trends.

But can't find a decent 1st Gen Tundra SUV for less than $15k.
It's like Tundra owners don't know they're supposed to be dumping them cheap now.
