I'm not cool Erik but I have SPC UCA's. Though I've heard since buying them that I shoulda gone JBA? Sucks to not know but you only know what you know, right?

Sounds like I need to buy some cam somethings? I like buying parts I barely understand. Help me spend my money...

I just did the lowers and the cams are good. I do have some new SPCs sitting in the shop I never used. I'm not familiar with the POS roady ones.

Your upper control arms are fine unless they give you a problem. The cam bolts are the bolts and cams that attach your solo control arms to the frame, and also are used for alignment. I bought the SPC cam bolts in case I needed them when I first did my lower control arms for an stock replacement. My cam bolts were all good so I never used them.

So I should buy SPC cam bolts for these just in case you think? Or bolts is bolts?

SPCs have not given me trouble at all. Don't worry. One of the reason the cam bolts are replaced is because they're seized due to rust. I doubt that is the case with yours so I would leave them. They might have a very minor amount of surface rust on the sleeves, which can easily be ground off. Light layer of anti-seize and they're good to go.

That's what I did, I had the aftermarket cam bolts in case I got in there and had a problem. Light surface rust on one only, cleaned it and re-used the OEM set.

At least Jason (my mechanic) didn't curse me when I mentioned "oh, by the way, I got some LCA's after all" :)

Reminds me to harass colton on the rear shocks. WTF Fox, WTF?

I think the money is better spent elsewhere. If you are going to do anything to the alignment setup, I would gusset the cam tabs. Ask Jason about that, I'm sure he's done plenty of those on other rigs. Something like this: I'm eagerly awaiting this to come out. I have some rock carnage on my frame near the cam tabs that needs visiting.

edit: Myself, @Sunnier, @alb1k and others are interested in this product when it hits the market, especially if it's a group buy.

These SOLO mofos are like 100 lbs, I can't imagine they need extra beef to do their thing? Or is the gusset on the other side?

Those tabs on the frame can break off and alignment gets to be a bitch

So gussets are for the frame then? Cool, I will buy. But they are FGT compatible? Or 2.5 gen?

If you had adjustable UCAs, may be worth considering for sure. But, reinforced tabs is the ticket in my mind.

I have to be honest though, my skid plates will have more car wash soap on them than dirt. That much I'm sure of. If I ever get them installed. The chances of hitting a rock on my unnecessarily expensive LCA's? Rather low.

Sometimes mechanics screw up those alignment tabs on a truck that never saw a dirt road.

OK, let's just do a solid bar of steel and fully box the frame while we're at it? Anyone make a fully boxed frame I could frame swap to?
