Hi All, I have been researching replacement key fob programming for my 2002 AC with the RS3000 factory installed keyless entry module. I have one original key fob with FCC ID BAB237131-022. This helped me identify the factory keyless system.

The main reason for this odyssey was the original fob only functioned within 5-10 feet from the door. No good. I did try the recommendation of placing the fob next to my jaw. It actually worked, but not a solid resolution. I upgraded to new fobs and the range is better than 50 feet!

Here are a couple of sites that helped streamline the process for me:

Replacement fobs, $73 delivered for the pair:

Simple instructions for programming this new fobs-30-minute install:

    Hope this helps

I hoped you replaced the battery before you made this decision. My range was about 10 ft before I replaced it with an energizer battery and now it’s back to its old range of 30-40 ft.

Yessir! Battery replacement was actually the first step for me. Unfortunately, the range did not improve.
