For those searching here’s what I used to search and find my 06DC w 104k on it for a great price. Keep in mind prices on these are going nuts. It’s like they are made of toilet paper or something. I made an excel sheet to keep track of mileage and price so I knew the range that was realistic vs what some dealer was posting as a pipe dream.

download the craigslist plus app. You can search every state/City you want on one app.

OfferUp and Facebook marketplace and change the zip code or city. Craigslist charged for auto listings now so more deals are found on these 2 sites for private party.

for dealer go w cargurus.com. Best results I found compared to autotrader, Edmonds, autotempest, cars.com etc

Hope that helps. I found mine using the Craigslist+ app and being willing to travel for the right car. A flight and 1300 miles later I am loving my new (to me) tundra

God I am so sick of sorting through effin third gens on FB and OfferUp.

How come the largest tech company in the world has the worst search function?

This one was bed-lined on the fenders and along the doors. Personally, I would use wrap instead of bed-lining it. I'm not crazy about those wheels either...but overall, I like the look of the truck. The contrasting black (including the black tool box) really perks up the somewhat mild "Desert Sand Mica"...

it needs tinted windows.... idk whats better, buying a truck i dont like and spend a bunch of money making it look better or just buying a truck that already has the mods/color i want for a higher price. i would really like to just get the truck i want at an affordable price lol. but this truck on craigslist is a steal!!!

Nah, it's a good look...that pic doesn't do it justice. This guy gave his truck to his son and he put those ugly wheels on it...it have Crager soft 8s before that looked much better....but hey, if you think it looks worse than this, which is what we were comparing it too...well, then I'm sorry, we have different tastes...and that's OK...

The whole “black out everything that can be taken off” trend was so played out to me long before Plasti-dip was a thing. Wasn’t it that Rob Dyrdek guy that made it famous on Rob & Big?

Regardless, it’s just one mans opinion.

I don't know, I don't pay attention to that type of stuff. The rockers painted with line-x thing is pretty old now itself...that particular Tundra has been painted like that for about 10 years now. I'm not really a fan of black on vehicles in general, but I like it ok when it acts as a contrast color to primarily lighter colored vehicles.

I do know that whoever started the "murdered out" (as in EVERYTHING black) look on vehicles needs to be strung up with the person who started the gray/white paint craze on/in houses. Anyone who's been shopping for houses in the last couple years knows exactly what I'm talking about.

I think the black trim on the bottom looks good. Just the giant black fenders against that tan is too much.

See it in person, the color may show differently in person.
It has the optional side air curtains.
but if the TB hasn't been done in 120k miles as it would appear....

i hate how the facebook market does not have an search option for only 4x4.. it's so annoying going thru each listing and trying to figure out if the truck is 4wd or 2wd..

If the timing was done at 200k for the second time, if it was a limited and if it was phantom grey or white you could get $13-15k out of it. He has it priced to sale and someone will have to put another $1000-2000 into it to have the truck last another 100k miles. As is it’s worth what he’s asking not much more.

Just signed up to the forum. Wish I could find some low mileage 1st gens here in Texas. Quite frankly, I'm looking for a low mileage (less than 50k miles) access cab from Arizonia or California. Wish I had seen this a couple of years ago: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-toyota-tundra/

You’d be looking at nearly $30k for something like that unfortunately. I’ve recently seen $29k for 80,000 mile trucks. It’s insane right now

There are 3 in the PNW right now that have 100-138k miles and the dealers want $18-23k for them. They are DC limited 4wd. I see some access cabs with less than 100k miles on them for $13-16k from time to time. 15-21 year old trucks are getting harder to find with less than 50k miles on them.
    This one has 97k miles

    this one has 24k miles but it’s a single cab V6 2wd

I must say seeing the prices of these trucks is really making me consider selling mine. I’m about to hit 80000 miles soon.

I'm targeting 2003-2004 AC models even though I prefer the look of the early 2000-2001. I've just heard from a friend, who owns a 2004, that the early years had some issues with the transmission. Trying to avoid anything like that to start my Tundra experience.
