$6,000! Clean looking 2006 sr5 4x4 280k miles. Not mine Just thought I share. I did contact the owner/car dealer. He provided vin. There a lot of service history from a Toyota dealership till 2020/217k miles. Don’t see deals like this often. It’s located in El Paseo, TX. About 300 miles from me. Im not sure if I want to make the drive.

Super clean one here. Even with prices being overpriced for these trucks currently, this one seems over the top.

What would be a reasonable price? Any 1st gen specific problems to look out for or things to ask?

I’d be planning to use this as my daily (45 mile drive daily). A truck and a commuter isn’t optional so a truck gets the nod.

I looked at this when you posted it a while back. Seems like the seller wants to get full retail back on his mods. Like said above I'd be trying to get the seller down to 13-15k tops.

 

Looks like the seller is getting a little reality check on his price. $17k is still too high for my blood on a nearly 20y/o truck.

I'm more curious about the VVTI intake manifold. I wonder if it's build date was in 04, but its actually an 05, or if the dude just swapped the manifold (I plan to do this on the T3 someday for a few extra ponies and weight reduction), or if he swapped in a VVTI engine. But the latter would either involve a trans swap and ECU too, or at the vary least an ECU from one of the 4runners or Land Cruisers that came with the 4spd and VVTI. O3-04 iIRC... Or were those non VVTI and the 5spd auto? Hmmm. I know it was a combo our trucks never saw.

 

I thought it was just painted black during the engine swap.

 

Maybe, that hadn't even donned on me as a possibility
