    Hello all,
Very first time here and very first post.
I'm new to the Tundras and it looks like I'm going to be buying one very soon as I have a close friend in the business that has found a gem for me that's in great shape. It's a 2005 SE5 access cab with the 4.7L engine. It had the frame replaced at some point under warranty from Toyota and there is zero rust on this vehicle.

I started digging to see what products are available for this year truck. One of the things I'm finding is that aftermarket headlight assemblies (not the LED retro fit projection lamp that fits into the OEM housing) is confusing. It seems that the many of these offerings, particularly the ones with the day time running light pod and the LED outline around the house are only for the 2005 "double cab" and not for the access or standard cab. The headlight housing look identical but according to the vendors, they don't fit the access or standard cab models. Is this true? If so what is the difference between the font end of the double cab models vs the other cab type? Maybe Toyota changed the mounting location or something?
This is one of many examples of this: https://www.amazon.com/LSAILON-Head...ra+access+cab+headlights,aps,114&sr=8-36&th=1

I was hoping that you guys might be able to shed some light on this.
    Thank you all.
    Chris

Congrats on the new truck. Dont go in with blinders. Your truck, despite having the frame replaced will still have rust in areas. Read that thread that @bmf4069 posted. Gold.

I'm not green. I'm still the FNG! I'm in my 18th year of ownership and I still come across new things about it all of the time.

Welcome. Yeah, the headlights and other parts can be confusing, especially when your ignorant to the differences. The thread BMF linked is a fantastic source. Read through it and ask away with any questions. Chances are it's been done before.

Yes, the front end of the Double Cab is more like the Sequoia. Headlights, fog lights, I think grills and other items are different to the Access Cab.
I'd be really wary of ordering parts on Amazon. Their 'confirmed fit' isn't always spot on plus there is so much counterfeit garbage on there. Yes, they usually have a solid return policy, but if your counterfeit part fails after 3 months, you are often SOL.

One other thing. Accessories like running boards, tonneau covers and camper shells are easier to find new and used for the AC. DC, not so much. They do show up on FB marketplace, but often not in great shape or missing hardware.

ETA - You CAN get those items for the DC, but there seem to be more options for the AC. I ended up buying a BakFlip new for mine and some APS running boards. Also new. Just was wasting too much time looking on FB Marketplace.

Thank you all so very much! Yes I know...Amazon's stuff ...wel there is a lot of junk for sure. I was just using that as an example but lots of Chinese junk for sure.
I read that great article from BMF! Thank you guys. SUPER helpful. There's a lot to learn for sure but this forum and you guys are great!
    I have another question that's a different topic...so I'll post that now.
    Thanks again guys!
