Yeah, I was going to send this over to the "WTB RCLB" guy in W. Knoxville area, but it doesn't look like he's cashed in on the others I shot his way, and not sure he's interested in making the trek. Meh.

Also, while it's on an RCLB, note the rear glass. That bump-out is usually what you see on newer Ferds with the upper flare-out on the top of the tailgate. I'm not sure it's originally for an RCLB.

 

I thought about that. The rest of the cap looks aged as if the rear window could have been previously replaced.

 

Just want to confirm with people who are familiar with all-glass rear window toppers. Mine's a CTC, but seems identical to some other brands. There's a frame, but the hinges attach to the glass, and the glass attaches to the outside of the frame with adhesive. There's no channel.

Anyway I'm working on the template for my plexiglass. I just cut it to exactly fit the frame. But when I hold the frame up to the topper, it looks like the glass should actually overlap the frame by maybe an inch or so all around. Can anyone confirm this? It would be cool to see a photo of someone's rear window, how it contacts the weather stripping, connects to the hinges, and how much it sticks out from the edge of the frame.

You can see how when I hold the frame in the topper, it sits inside the weatherstripping and hinges, not up against them.

 

I can't speak to your exact brand, but I would think the edge of the glass would follow the contour of this seal. Just judging by what I've seen from pics of others.
