Toyota stuff carries a premium around here for sure. It doesn't look like a deal to me. A new one is ~9k, so if you are dropping that money, you may as well get a new one. My truck won't fit in the garage with anything taller than the roofline, so they don't make sense for me. If it did, I see the draw . A quick comfortable tent seems sweet. Plus my wife prefers sleeping in the truck to a tent for some reason.

6K seems way closer to reasonable. Something like that should be around 50% of its purchase price in my eyes.

That's @Lundy . I want to check theirs out in person sometime; I'm interested in switching over to one.

Damnit. I’ve been on a witch hunt for a camper only to realize it’s going to cover my rear chase lights.
That's a damn shame. I also realized today that I will no longer be looking for a camper shell. It's going to cover up my third brake light/chase light and I spent way too much money on that just to block it.

It's not out of question. Just a matter if I'm willing to spend another 250 bucks just for lights that will be redundant lol.

Now that I’m looking at it I think it might contact the camper as well.

If you knew how much of a pain in the ass it was to get the tires off the old wheels… first guy I talked to in advance didn’t end up coming in. Second shop took all day. 8 hour ordeal instead of 2.

It looks clean enough. All windows intact. Read my warnings and stuff to look out for here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/camper-shells.94096/#post-2379108

I'd shoot them a message and say, "Hey, if you're willing to part with only the shell, I'm willing to give you $600-800 for that alone on a no-hassle sale, depending on whether it has any cracks, leaks, has keys, etc. If not, I understand totally and thanks for your time."

Be sure to bring a pair of helping hands or two to help with transfer. Expecting the seller to help you with just the two of you is kinda a dick move. I checked with my seller in advance if he wanted me to bring extra hands and he was cool with the two of us transferring over.

I think $700 is a great median price. $600 is a steal for you. $800 is a good deal for the seller. I would probably pay up to $1k for that knowing the paint looks immaculate and is well-matched, it's a good brand, fit is good, all windows are intact.
