I was thinking I should write them just for that reason. I’m very careful and read over and over before hitting something I haven’t done before. Fortunately, this only created unnecessary work and spaced the bumper almost 1/2” forward. That would drive some people nuts, I see it as extra tranny cooler clearance :)

Brushing on the Por 15 as a base. This stuff seems excellent but gnarly. Wear a respirator and gloves….

If you dug back through my post history, that's one of the biggest warnings I give about POR-15. Gloves. You gotta wear gloves.

It's not dissimilar from super glue, how superglue it instantly bonds skin, but won't bond other - water acts as a catalyst for super glue, and the water content of your skin instantly catalyzes it. POR-15 catalyzes practically on-contact with skin just the same, and it's a pain in the ass to get off, at least nothing I've found works very effectively. But the stuff is rock solid. Rust Bullet and whatever Eastwood's product is (you can tint it, which is kinda cool) are similar and equally effective.

For that reason, it should be blatantly obvious why a respirator or mask is critical :D

Only dropped it once before this set up. And the only time I’ve thought some mechanically inclined weightlifters hiding in the closet would be useful.

That looks so good. None of that all too often underbite look. I like that you can see the Kings sneaking through too from the front.

Hell yes! Any plans to paint it body color, or did you have black or matte black in mind?

I’m going to have my body guy spray it with a bed liner type material that looks more like textured finish. I don’t know what it’s called, but it looks good. Comes out satin like. I’ll probably go a very dark grey/charcoal, towards black. My clear coat is failing on the tonneau, gonna have him spray that as well.

Thank you @Openbaffle, I'm happy with it. I've never seen this one in person so it was a bit of "whats this going to be?" Definitely does have a "we left the stock world now, look"

U bolt flip today. Discovered carrier bearing was shot, so that’s ordered.

Got some Skid Row Plates ordered yesterday and some Brute Force Fab sliders ordered today. I anticipate a wait, but I have more to do than time so all good.

After discovering the support / carrier bearing was shot I ordered a Spicer/Toyota replacement and a 24mm socket. Upon attempting to press the u-joint, I realized it was out of my league. Waiting for my ride home at the moment, as I’m leaving this to my mechanic…

These are Archive MD springs. They ride nice empty and will barely squat with 200-600 lbs I’m told. I’ve only run them unloaded so far. But, they rake a ton. 2+”. I’m going to try to tame them a bit. Both pics are unloaded rake.

    Side note:
Did a quick lever adjustment (moved the bolts up 3/4”) for the weight sensing proportioning valve). That locked rears on firm braking. Went to 3/8” up, same.
Put that back where it was. But did adjust E brake cable so now E brake does it’s job.

It's a bit early to tell, but I might have found my sweet spot with the rear suspension. I only have a test drive and no load yet, shocks are waiting to be changed, etc. I'll add some (after TC drop shackle) side pics later. A couple of the install here. Dropped my previous 2-2.5" lift with the Archive MD leaf packs by about 7/8". Looks good and rides better empty or just seems that way. I plan to fill the 110qt cooler with water and tie it in the bed aft of the rear axle for an easy 200+lbs in the rear for some height difference and feel testing.

Thanks brother. I have to take my daughter to an appt and will be waiting around, so I'll get some updated pics in a few. It's lower than those earlier pics, but I think it is going to be good. I'm keeping the stock shackles in case there is another switch. :)

Here’s Archive MD w/ TC lowering shackles.

I put it at 1.5” over stock. Maybe a touch more.

So, the lower suspension work made the front end tight and quiet. I have a new noise that I finally tracked down in the rear. The combination of removing the factory hitch and the spare tire, along with longer shackles (drop shackles) is causing the frame to flex when the springs are working. If I lay on my back under the truck and press up on the x-frame that used to hold the spare, it makes a god awful noise. I'll be doing something about that....

Did I read the manual right? 48 lbs torque on the lower ball joint (4) bolts? I guess for the bolt size that sounds correct.
