Imagine flipping the car over and then standing on the front bumper to take the pic.

Call Dirty Deeds. Tell Keith that Stan retired and buy his jigs and templates. Then tell him we'll get a group buy together.

This is a good place to start. Maybe should be a sticky.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/whats-in-your-rear-end.42904/

As far as gearing goes, really a personal thing. With stock tires I would leave gearing alone, maybe drop in a 4.30 if you feel frisky. A 4.56 would be fun but you may go into lower mpg running that high. I run 4.56 but with 285/75/16 tires.

If you can find an 04 DC it has 4.10 gears, so do the 1st gen Sequoias. You can swap 3rd members (and pinion flanges, new pinion seal recommended also). I did.

    Also with a 99-04 4speed a340 trans you have a taller 1st than the 05-06 a750.

So for towing a 4.30 may be a good compromise with the 265/70r17. They are just hard to come by. Where as the 4.10 is readily available from the Sequoia and some 1st gen Tundra's.

How do I find out what trans I have? I can't seem to find no information on A430 trans. Unless you meant a340 trans. I know when I tow my 5k trailer it pulls like a freight train just would like more TQ to help with acceleration.

    Yeah, meant a340. Typo'd it.

4.30 if you can find it, 4.10's if not.

Unless you plan to go bigger tires, then 4.56 33's and under, 4.88's 34+.

I guess I'm keeping the size tires I have and let her do what she's doing. To much work to replace front and rear gears.

Sequoia would be easiest to find. Just replace front assy and rear 3rd member.

Tacos had “rare” 4.56 factory gears. The front diff is out there and technically rear. But I think most got the 8” elocker with 4.56

I run into them while doing a search but wasn't sure if they are legit snice it was so cheap and also couldn't find any reviews or input. Plus I really wanted tri-y headers

Well if anyone has stock 05-06 manifolds laying around let me know. I’m looking at the long tubes, but due to a recent discovery they’re talking about visual inspections for emissions equipment, I need to keep the SAIS for now… at the very least the tubes. Fuck. So I need a stock set to hack up and weld onto the JBA headers…. If I buy them. I may try the 4runner thorley tri y headers…

Lol your fine. Somehow I’ve skated emissions the past 3 years without issue. But current residents invading are chasing our rules slowly to fit the illinois agenda. Meh.

Are the inspecting people going to recognize sais or just that its tubular headers? A lx470 engine cover might fix that. Open the hood, say ‘i cant see a damn thing’ and check it off.

i agree with tri-y for a truck. Spread the torque as far as possible, but a little nitrous will go a long way and not hurt much. 30-50hp shot applied after 3400rpm.

No. I need a stock set cheap to cut the air injection off and weld onto the JBA long tubes. Unless I find out the 4runner long tubes can work with slight modification

The JBA headers will bolt right up to your truck. My issue is 05-06 issue only
