I thought I recognized your avatar photo. Yeah I've been following that site and learning. With these price drops and deals I figured purchasing might be the better route.

I have seen those deals on the tundra leases and wish I would have moved sooner on them. They don't seem to be around anymore.

As others have stated. I wonder what other incentives next?

These deals are amazing. In my region, dealers will NOT give up any of their secret holdback below invoice. Not a single dealer in the 9 dealers I dealt with. Just don't want people to have unrealistic expectations looking at this thread. That $5500 discount is including basically ALL of their holdback plus part of some kind of regional mass sales rebate from Toyota to the dealer.

Out here, the discount is about $6500 which includes the $3000 rebate. Given this I negotiated my trade hard. The dealer I went with gave me $2000 more than the other 8 dealers.

As an FYI, the dealer holdback on my 1794 was $1,134 below invoice and I only saw that because my salesperson left it at his desk in a folder and walked away and I swiped it out of the secret folder.

Now, my dealer doc fees were only $179 total.

This was my thought process. Interest payments from my bank at 2.99% was around $3,700 over 5 years. I skipped the $3k rebate and took the 0% financing. Got about 10% off MSRP on Platinum without rebate. Seemed like a good deal.

I can't buy anything for another 5-6 weeks so I'm also trying to figure out future incentives. Only thing I've come up with is Toyotathon which I think is Thanksgiving until the end of year. Looks like the incentive was $3500 last year. I'm hoping if I have to wait that long the the stock isn't to thin.

    About those $250 lease

    Those look attractive

Anybody know how much their insurance is per month to insure a 2019 lease?

I wonder how much more it is than my current 06 insurance

It's tough finding one of those deals now. I tried for about 2 weeks to no avail. Was even prepared to go to a broker to find the deal.

Yup! I think thats Jim. Unfortunately they were in the 310-325 range. At that price i figured pay a little more and own it. Especially for the deals going on right now.

Secretly, planning and preparing to lease the new generation of tundras. Pretty pumped for those.

And here I thought I did good until I started reading this thread...

I’m in South east Michigan so Big 3 country.

Couldn’t find a Ram Laramie that I wanted for less than $50k otd, then that resale of Chrysler products down the road...

    2019 CM Platinum.

    MSRP 53,650
    Invoice was around 50,500
Purchase price 46,150 which includes the $3k rebate in my region.

Negotiated $25k on my trade in (2015 Tacoma manual supercharged, KBB was 23800)

I shopped around for weeks and couldn’t get anyone within 5 hours of my house to go below 46 on a 53k truck.

I may be wrong, but it seems not every region is as willing to offer that 11.2% deal. I’m in the Southeast. The dealers I spoke with weren’t willing to do much more than what you were able to receive per a discount.

I had to jump quickly on this one. They sold 3 Cement color CM's in 3 days.

Just spent the last hour re reading the whole thread. Kicking myself for not trying a bit harder or at least getting them to throw in a bed liner or the TRD exhaust...

Going to hold out till this time next year, offers now are tempting, but betting when new generation hit the lots going to be aggressive moving with the last year 3rd generation, 2020. Have option of purchasing 2020, or new generation 2021, maybe low mileage 2019 lease that someone wants to trade in for the new generation, 2021.

This isn’t a bad plan at all if 2021 brings a new generation (and even if it doesn’t if you want the 2020 features at a much better deal). One note per the “if” surrounding the 2021 introduction of a new Tundra generation: Several threads on here and via other sources I’ve read / heard from act as if it will be the 2022 Tundra that introduces the next generation. It seems a consistent reason for this guess is the plans don’t seem far along enough per sheet metal and paint adhesive plus exact engine specs and production plans. Toyota likely doesn’t have it all put together in the way they prefer in order to have production begin in time for a 2021 next generation model. I guess we will see. Yet, my bet is on the 2021 being much the same as the 2020 with a few tweaks and maybe newly added included options as standard for the TRD Pro (“Platinum Pro?”).

There’s been a lot of forum talk that next fall we’ll get a turbo hybrid v6 ecoboost killer, but I haven’t seen anything that doesn’t amount to speculation or info from anonymous (I take that as unverified) inside sources. The pace at which Toyota moves makes it hard for me to believe next fall will be the debut of the (true) 3rd gen Tundra.

I would absolutely love to be surprised though!

That was a typo, but not that far off. 42,500.
Toyota in Muscle Shoals, AL. It’s a no haggle dealership so they’re prices are are really low anyway, but they’ll still come down if you hit them at the end of the month.

Shit. Never ever ever pay MSRP or anywhere near it. Not by a long shot. That dealership goes on selling more for less rather than selling what they can for more.

I traded in a 2011 F150 Lariat with 75k miles that was fully loaded. They gave me $22,800 for trade-in and then listed it on their website for $25,400. So they weren’t making a ton off of it.

Car dealers get their bonuses based on monthly sales. Hit them up near the end of the month and all new car dealers will be willing to stretch it a little more to get just one last sale for the month.

So your $41,500 was the price after the trade in?
