    Hi Everyone!
I've been following this thread for a few weeks now as I hunt down a Tundra. It's been a wild ride considering which trim package to go with - I absolutely can't justify the TRD PRO price for the lack of features it provides inside the cabin. Leaning very heavily toward a Platinum now as I'm really not a fan of all the chrome on the Limited.

With that said, Merallica's post above raises an interesting point. There's my 'ideal' (It's a Platinum with the TRD exhaust, steps, and skid plate) truck listed locally and CarGurus states it's been on the lot for a whopping 362 days! Is CG's data normally reliable?

Here a quote I got from a dealer: "Thank you for shopping online with us! Let us know when you would like to come out and test drive the 2019 Toyota Tundra CrewMax 4x4 Platinum Edition and we will make sure everything is ready for you when you get here. Your VIP Internet Price: $46,338.00 + TT&L. A discount of $8,164.00 (off of the MSRP of $54,502.00)."

What do y'all think? Is there anymore wiggle room?

I'd say that's pretty awesome if for the 2020 model. If 2019 might be able to squeeze more as they are trying to get rid of 2019s to make room for 2020s.

Depends on how much Toyota is offering for rebate right now? When I bought mine they were offering 1,500 cash back or 0% financing. I took the cash back and financed locally at credit union. I had a buddy that is the sales manager for a Honda dealer in Knoxville but they also have other dealers Toyota included. He jumped in and conformed my research of true dealer cost of around $46 to $47k. Now the dealer will also get a 3% holdback also. I paid $46,900 for mine then the $1,500 rebate. After the taxes, title I was out the door for a little under $50k.

I think Toyota is doing $3k cash back and I guarantee your $46,338 includes that making it $49,388. I would think there may be another $1,000 to 1,500 possibly?

However that is a good price as is.

I talked to the 12 closest dealers to Knoxville and the cheapest I could get is $50,129 plus tax and fees. When the 1 dealer came the $46,900 number I called and emailed the other 11 dealers and not one would budge. They told me to hurry up and buy from them as they are losing money, yeah right. Funny thing is, I never heard another peep from another dealer again!!!!

At my numbers they made a few hundred to pay salesman commission and 3% holdback for the dealers share. As a businessman I understand people have to make money and I was comfortable with that.

BTW, I had no trade, just outright purchase.

    I think I got a good deal.

    New 2019 Tundra 4.6L CrewMax 4X2 TSS Off road package = $32,600

I realized after purchase, that I did not have tow/haul button or electric brake control.

Will this be an issue for towing a boat and trailer?

    Hi,

Oh yes, I am in NH so it is 4x4. I have been working with a particular manager for a few years and am usually sworn to secrecy about the deals, because he doesn't want it in writing and where I got it. I will say somewhere in Southern NH :D

    It's a 4X2 with a 4.6liter engine with 310 hp.

It's a new 2019, but dealership owner used it as demo for shows. It had 8500 miles on it. It was in excellent/brand new shape.

2019 Toyota Tundra SR5 4.6 liter with TSS off road package and 20 inch black rims/tires

$32,600 but they took off 2,000 because it a demo and had 8500 miles.

    MSRP $46,624.00
Price after discount and rebate $38,031
    OTD $42,865

I attribute my savings totally to this thread. It was extremely helpful and I LOVE the truck.

Ok I’ve shopping for a few weeks now. Looking for a 2019 limited crewmax 4x4 w/ off road package . Tundras that I have looked at are $49,300 to $50,300.
Lowest prices MSRP $49,733 Cash price $ 40,170
    MSRP $50,032 Cash price $41,400
Just found exact truck with options I like but, it’s a Dealer Demo 8K miles .
How much should they deducting as a DEMO ? Is it worth buying a DEMO ? Get them to add extended warranty ??? Or what else ??

The dealers must be running out of regular stock. Two out of the last three trucks I checked on were demos.

Best I'm finding on a 2019 Platinum is 46200 Before tax with toyota rebate. (MSRP is $53608) Only major extra is trd exhaust. Oh and its a demo. Hopefully today I can find out how many miles and strike a deal.

How would you approach a new vehicle that's sat on a lot for an entire year?

Problem is every day they keep disappearing. I’m out to 200 miles now because all the ones around me are gone. I may have to make a deal.

Go Monday afternoon.....end of the month (on a Monday especially) they will be looking to meet / exceed their projections. If it is still available then and you are willing to play the game, I can almost guarantee you will get a much better offer than you are now.

Try internet sales division of each of dealerships in a broad area. If they offer you a price, use it to negotiate with other dealerships. If they can not honor a price for more than your time at the dealership, then they are not worth dealing with. It is call a pressure tactic. Don't be in a rush to buy, if you can help it. If they sell you a vechile at their cost, they are still making a profit. They get money from the factory via hold back and incentives.

Someone, gave a good suggestion to wait until the end of the month. Keep calling and stay firm with a price. There are sites that report the cost of what they pay for the vechile and packages and what suggested retail sale.

    Edmonds

    Kelly blue book

Are just a few sites. Go in informed even if you have to pay 30 or 40 dollars to get information. It could save you thousands of dollars.

    Good luck.

Same here! I asked for 12% off MSRP before rebate and TT&L and the best they could do was 6-9%. I guess I just have to keep on looking.

1st time post and about to buy my first Tundra! Thanks to all the helpful info here I have been going round and round with 4-5 local dealers and have it down to two with identical 2019 Platinum 4x4 Silver ext/Black with moonroof and running boards....The current leader just came back with $48,410 on a MSRP of $55,139...I had to get everyone I talked to, to requote it using the 0% APR promo and then worked my way back down on the discounts. That look like a good deal to you guys? Im in NC...Seems like a solid deal and I'm stoked about the Truck and the family around it...hard to believe they don't have push button or remote start but I found a remote start kit on here for $300ish that looks like it will do the trick! Thanks again for all the info!

Hey, first post here, but I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. I picked up a Platinum about 3 weeks ago for $44k plus ttl. It was a demo and had 900 miles, which didn't matter to me that much since it was MGM and no add ons. Only option was the sunroof. Tried to get the price down a bit more and a spray in bed liner thrown in, but dealer wouldn't budge. They did throw in an extra set of Bridgestone tires that were off another Platinum that they had put AT tires on. Not sure yet if I'll keep or sell them.

Anyone got any info on Toyota's incentives for October? I think I'm gonna wait before I pull the trigger. Hoping they will combine the rebate with the special Apr. I was trying to get a dealer to do both but they wouldnt.

    Nothing period!
It is an advertising blitz to get your attention (like Jan is not on TV enough already).

    Do yourself a favor and keep it simple;
    -Demand 11% off MSRP
    -PLUS take the $3,000 rebate
-Then add tax, title and doc fee and you are a rocket man.
