i am looking to buy a 2018 tundra. I’m looking at the trd off road and really like it but also test drove a sr5. By Wife thinks the sr5 is a touch smaller on the inside. Any info would be great. I know the trd sits a little higher. As a daily driver which rides/drives the best

I don't think there is size cab size difference between TRD and SR5.

If you never go off road, non-TRD will be a little smoother. TRD tends to be bit stiff (good for off-roading).

you can also get the SR5 right now and upgrade the suspension later for your needs. Lots of guys do it here.

Mine has the TRD suspension and the rear TRD sway bar, I don't think it rides rough, it does handle good though going around corners. I don't know how a regular Limited suspension with the 20's feels or handles so I can't make a comparison.

Are you sure the TRD suspension adds height?

I’m not 100 percent but it felt a little taller to get into. May have been the different tire sizes

Stock 18's or 20's have pretty much the same height due to the different aspect ratio.

Welcome from Arizona. I agree with the previous comments and I'd recommend looking at the entire package that it is included with each truck since there are different SR5 packages. Some packages include the larger 38 gallon fuel tank, tow package, etc. so that might be more important than the Off Road package depending on what you want to use the truck for.

    Good Luck.

They should be the same size. Maybe it was the ground around the truck if it wasn't perfectly flat or something. If it makes you feel better being a tape measure next time.

Good luck shopping! They are great trucks!

Did either of them have the steps? Could be the perception culprit...

There was small variance in height in 2010 models (which I assume is the same for the 3rd gen). Typically, RC and DC are slightly taller than CM (tiny fraction of an inch). 4x4 models are taller (more substantially). I didn't see any height difference between TRD off-road and non-TRD. Surprisingly, trucks with 255/70/18 are tiny bit taller than ones with 275/65/18 or 275/55/20.

I don't think these tiny differences can be felt by most of us (unless it's between 4x2 and 4x4). Were you looking at Tundra Pro by any chance?
