Yay, my 1794 Limited Edition in blueprint arrived today!

I’m getting full Xpel PPF. Matte or glossy?

I’m torn bc matte is a unique look, and showcases body lines. But it might mute the blueprint color a bit, or look perpetually dirty / unfinished. I’m neutral on the matte look in general — some colors like silver & gray, etc., look amazing in matte. Hard to visualize if Blueprint would look better in matte or glossy.

Opinions? Anybody seen a matte blueprint tundra?

Here are some pics and videos.

The best thing about blueprint is the color changing of it , looks black, blue, and sparkling purple ish in direct light

I would just forget ppf imo

Yea ppf is not worth it on anything other than a super car or hyper car in my opinion. Unless you are getting some insane deal on it or have a buddy that will do it for cheap, there really is no point in doing a truck. Ceramic coating is really all you need and will help make the paint pop and help keep scratches and swirls to a minimum. But to spend like 8000 to do a whole truck seems like a waste, especially cause ppf usually only last around 10ish years

I like the clear ppf on front end to minimize paint chips and wash bugs off easier. Plus on headlights -keeps them from glazing over.

Why you picking on me? It's a truck, so wind noise, differential whine and throttle lag Is all fine... It's just an $80k work truck for me.

I went with clear. After finding some pics of a matte wrapped BMW in Tanazinte Blue (close the Blueprint) I felt like the matte could take away from the richness of the color.

    It is just wow!

The handling, ride and seat comfort are on par with or better than my BMW X7 which is saying a lot. Leather is gorgeous. All of the trim is nice. Since it comes with most Tundra options it feels very well equipped. Haven’t towed yet bc of break-in, but looking to do do that soon!

No noise or rattles. It is actually quieter inside at 30-45 mph than my BMW X7 as measured with a sound meter— 50-60 dBA depending on AC setting. Surreal, actually.

Thanks, and I agree after seeing some matte ppf pics of BMWs in Tanzanite Blue. They still look nice, but it completely changes the richness subtlety of the color.
