12volts Plug & Play remote start groupbuy!

That's what I thought too, but no instructions were included and the instructions I found say it's needed for g key trucks.

Also per 12volt solutions install video it's needed, but they did say they started including a t-harness later on. My kit did not have this t-harness.

I’m just waiting for those who have 2018-19 to be kind enough to write up a how to tutorial with pics or videos for amateurs like me.

 

You can add the mycar which gives you GPS without adding the extended range remotes.

 

guys we have shipped a little over half of these. Fortin decided to change something in the software mid way through us programming the 2nd half and halted programming until the engineers change it back. They say that will be done by Friday . Luckily we check them before shipping them out and caught it before they went to guys that had no idea what was going on. Anyone that is waiting please be patient with a group buy this big (over 200 sold) it takes a lot of time to program them correctly so you the end user are not pulling out your hair . I am going to let the group buy pricing run til Monday . So if you want to get in on it buy before Monday as you will never see this price again. It is not worth the headaches at this price. Calls at midnight on Sunday . Emails all day and all because they did not even look at the wiring diagram. They just looked at video on YouTube of the wrong vehicle.
When we ship them we email you instructions . if you do not understand them please do go to youtube and find another video and watch it . You will just be more confused . Email me tech12volt@gmail.com . And if it does not work the first time especially on 18 and 19 press the button slower. do not start pulling it apart and programming it 10 times . You will end up locking it up. And finally You can also buy a Carlink and put it in the car for just GPS purposes. I can tell you how to do that if you send me an email. It will not do anything else accept GPS and show you your battery voltage though . We didn't just decide to offer remote starts to make extra money , we have installed Remote starts for 26 years and I am a master MECP certified remote start installer. 12voltsolutions owner and I are very close firends but please do not mesaage him asking to buy his TPMS harness . He doesnt have the time and trust me when I say he will not sell you just the TPMS harness I tried to buy them form him and he and I are good friends . i could make them behind his back but my friendship means more than money. If that one little wire worries you take my advice and leave your truck completely stock because all other modifications take way more than cutting one wire . All I can say is I bought this kit last from James when it became plug and play, no splice. I did not care what another shops vids said, and older vids were the splice ones. you do not need to do anything to the factory alarm wire

 

thank you and yes this on 3 different sites and we sold over 250 . it takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes to program one check it pack it up and ship it . along with answering emails

Yes thank you James I am one of the calls after I received it not being able to find the instructions and feel stupid I did not check the spam file in my email. Also I did find a video on you tube that helped me walk through the install with using the instructions also. The video from your instructions jus skips through some stuff pretty quickly and the other one goes a little slower so it was easier to follow. But anyways great product and everyone around me is jealous and creeped out when my truck starts and no one is around

 

I may have completely misinterpreted your post but just to be clear (in case I didn't misinterpret), the video you posted is for 12voltsolutions and this group buy is for tech12volts, which is not the same company and doesn't sell the T-harness. Forgive me if I misunderstood.

 

I uses their video to do my install but did what James said to for he wires since no t harness

How does this work with your 4Runner and the automatic roll down windows from the key fob? I believe it is press once, press twice and hold? So would not be the same as this key fob which is 3 clicks. I still have the pipe dream of finding a wrecked 4runner and swapping out all window modules into the truck

All the folks who have installed their remote kits, what kind of range did you get with your stock remote?

After the kit install, I'm actually getting TPMS readings from my tires from my aftermarket HU

 

I would imagine the range would be the same as the OEM remote before the install. If you need more range, opt for the extended range remotes.

 

I also seem to get a bit better signal throw when I put the remote up around my throat.

 

I do that too sometimes....right under the chin.
