Thanks, I thought I looked and didn't have the sensor, I'll double check.

I just wrapped up my install and the truck will start and run fine with the key in. It will crank and start once after programming and then will die after a minute or so. Next time it will just crank with no start.

I did tap the white wire with black stripe into the gray key sense wire up by the ignition key per James's suggestion. I did the programming 3 times disconnecting the battery and Evo connections between each try. I have a 2017 CrewMax with a factory alarm.

    UPDATE:

I emailed James and he responded in minutes. He had me double check my connections.

The TPMS connection was loose. A totally rookie move on my part.

    I’m up and running now.

Thanks James for the excellent remote support!!!

Just installed mine. Only issue was tapping the white&black wire for the factory alarm. The factory alarm wire was such a small wire that none of the taps I had on hand would work. I just exposed some of the wire with a razor blade and wrapped the other wire around it and taped it. Not pretty, but it works.

Hi, new here and a Google search brought me to this awesome thread!

This link still works for me.
Does this mean this group buy is still available?

When would it ship if I purchased this weekend?

I hope to have my sweet used 2014 1794 tomorrow afternoon :)
The 2011 4runner Ltd I'm trading in had the crappy factory open door engine off remote start.

    Thanks for any information

Just installed this morning. If the truck shuts off after remote start and beeps for a long time, what am I doing wrong? Seems like a fault alarm

I have the alarm go off after 15 minutes, but it's a good reminder for me to get my ass in gear and get going to work.

I wish I would not have lost my gauge readouts on my Kenwood 9903s and my TPMS without constantly draining the battery or having to unplug / replug the OBD. I thought I had asked James about this and was under the impression that I would not lose any functions. But, I really like the remote start. I like it a lot. I like it so much that I realize that I almost don't care about the loss of other functions.

It was shutting off about 5 seconds after remote start.

3-click the lock button (3 beeps from truck/3 door lock engagements)
truck responds (1 beep from truck)
door lock engages (1 door lock engagement)
    truck starts
    engine dies after 5 seconds

I'm not sure why it was doing that but I've run the remote start about 30-40 times the past couple of weeks now without any further issues. Obviously I was doing something wrong but for the life of me I still can't figure out exactly what was happening. Either way, this has been a very useful mod especially in the mornings it has dropped to freezing temps and afternoons that have been above 85 degrees (this Texas winter has been weird)

This can happen when you have the battery disconnected long enough for the idle settings to need reset. It’s happened to me a few times (even with a keyed start) and it’s always after I’ve had to battery unhooked.

Will this work on a 2020 SR5? I have an H key. Looks great
