I went over 183 thousand miles this week. Changing the transmission and differential oil on Friday. Still don't know if I would use OEM or royal purple. We will see. Planning on hauling son's apartment furnishings from San Diego, Ca to San Antonio, TX in a couple of weeks. It is a 14 hour drive and don't want to risk breaking anything. I can't complain about the truck, its a 2007 and I am very lucky I haven't had any major issues. Everything still works as new, even the back up camera. I never had to add any Freon to the air conditioning system. Onl;y thing done to the truck is the regular maintenance, brakes, new OEM rotors and calipers, timing belt, water pump, three sets of tires, and 5000 full synthetic oil changes.

I went away from RP oil. I remember reading something, somewhere about why to stay clear of it. I use Mobile1 now.

Taking that under consideration. Some say Royal Purple and some say Mobil One. We will see. Don't know if Mobil comes with a no-slip additive?

Mobil 1 75w-90 LS Gear Oil
Royal Purple comes with a no-slip additive.
