Neither would I. I'm not a state worker or contractor. My SW Tundra was what was available in my budget at the time...and glad I got it, kickass truck.

Im a white collar state worker, who grew up extremely blue collar and loved it. We used to have school bus yellow trucks. We now use white.

    Inferno is still superior lol.

Idk about that...all Tundras are sexy beasts. But to me, Inferno looks kinda coppery...like, well, um...RUST :D

100k on a 2018 is just getting broken in good. Do the basic maintenance because I guarantee the Ford place never did it for you. I’m out. Night night.

You know……normally I’d disagree. However the inferno is definitely one that depends on the light and how clean. Can be orange, copper, rust, about 100 other different colors. I love it.

Indeed it is as with all colors. I love them all honestly. They all look great on the 2nd gen. It’s just a good looking truck with hard body lines that look fantastic to me.

Edit: Nighty Night……again lol. It’s 12:38 and I’m still watching F is for Family and looking at Tundras. Gotta love having an awesome truck.

Fully agree, it's a beefy truck with an aggressive look...even my dad (who's a diehard Ford man) commented that my truck is just badass

I’ve had plenty of offers on direct buys at gas stations. I’ll never sell it to be honest if I can help it and god willing. It’s paid for. It’ll sit in the driveway while I keep the maintenance up to give me an excuse to wrench and drink beer while grilling lol.

I must be lucky then...I don't need an excuse to grill (more appropriately smoke) dinner...in fact, she prefers it and knows beer is part of the package

Thanks Everyone! This is awesome information, I really appreciate the feedback. Since it isn’t my main driving vehicle, I’m going to start slowly knocking this stuff out on my own. See if I can save some money and learn something new. So, you will probably see me asking more questions, please bear with me. Lol! Thanks again, and I will keep everyone posted on the results. Just bought some black stickers for the tundra, limited, 4x4 Emblems.. I will post some pics after I install those.

OP did you get a carfax report with your truck?

Might be worth buying one to see the reported maintenance done on it.

Mine (also Inferno color, makes it the fastest, don't ya know?) had an excellent documented history and eliminated some things to be done. I got lucky finding one with only 32,500 miles on it. Then again I live in Fl and we have lots of seniors that take great care of their vehicle but don't drive much.

Good luck and like others have said, these can easily go 300,000 miles, yours is barely broken in.

Sorry - but no way I’m doing water pump as preventative maintenance on a 6 year old truck with 100k miles and no issues. Maybe at 12 years 200k.

Change the motor oil too. Bought 2020, dealer said they changed it. I changed it and it looked worn in 1K miles. Who knows what brand filter was used.

I’m almost to 100k on mine and have done a belt tensioner and alternator besides routine maintenance. The alternator didn’t have a voltage problem - just a squeaky bearing.

Also have to occasionally reset the alcohol density calculation - FFV problems.
