Ok so I’m ordering 6112’s. Currently running 285/65 AT revo2’s. So next I get to decide on new tires.

Another question.... will I need new isolators or anything else while I’ve got it apart?

You never want to have differing pre-loads on shocks!

All Tundras are level at stock height, when you add a lift is when you start to see a lean.

That may apply for 4Runners, I am not familiar with the suspension on them, but for a Tundra it is much easier just to add a shim to the drivers side and keep the same preload on each shock.

As long as you have the correct coil selected preload does not matter until the preload force is greater than the corner weight of the truck. Adding a shim increases the effective length of the shock. IIRC, the factory "coilovers" come preloaded differently from the factory to account for the lean. IIRC there is a specific drivers vs passenger side coilover or spring that accounts for the lean. I could be wrong but thats what I recall from my research.

Would Toytec add a little more to one and mark it as drivers side? I just ordered online so I haven’t contacted them on phone. But curious if maybe that’s an option. Any adjustments would be blind since they don’t know if it will lean or not I guess. Are they easy to adjust on the truck? I’m full of questions eh?!

6112’s shipped out today! So should I order shims and install on both sides for a little more lift? Or just order them to have just in case she leans after install? How far back in do I have to go to add shim if needed after install?

If you do not have the lean now, I doubt you will have the lean after the install of the 6112s. But if you want to order them to have if you think you will need them then I would order them.

You don’t want shims on a 6112. They are already longer on full compression than stock(Thus the bumpstop extension). Adding shims will hurt your up travel even more for little gain

Mine had lean from the factory. Many others on here have reported the same. Always driver’s side that is lower - usually more in the back than front.

So many on here set at top setting or at 1.9 with shims. So confusing. I ordered at 1.9 but........:annoyed:

installing shims (On both sides) on 1.9 setting is just ill informed and incorrect. You did the Right choice. 2 inch is the sweet spot for lifting our IFS. Any more and it is just serious ride deterioration

With just $1k, I would either save more for the suspension I want instead of settling or spend near $1k for TRD Pro LED Headlight’s
    My favorite mod.

Adding shims does absolutely NOTHING to change the ride! You are not changing the preload at all, you are basically just lengthening the shock!

Why do you want to lengthen the shock. You are just making a small spacer kit. Have you seen the photos of all the broken suspension due to spacer lifts?
