So the 7 pin connector on my truck is corroded and the plastic around the connector was brittle and broke off when I pushed the trailer connection into it.

I bought another connector that I was going to wire in. I would cut the Toyota connector off and put this new connector on that I got at a trailer store. Before I cut the wires I noticed a few issues. First the pinout on the Toyota harness is clockwise from 1:
    1. White 2. blue 3. Green 4. Black 5. Brown 6. Yellow/gray and 7. Gray.

The connector I bought is clockwise from 1:
    1. White 2. Blue 6. Brown 4. Black 3. Green 5. Red center (7)

So first off, Toyota doesn't have a red. Instead a yellow/gray. And notice the order of the new connector is completely different than the Toyota wires. Do I wire it the way the Toyota wires are on the connector right now? Or per the pinout on the actual replacement connector?

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the Toyota connector?

Wire it such that the oem wires will be in the same position they were in.

To add - I can’t imagine the connectors on the back are in a different position than the sockets on the front of the plug but you can check with a continuity test on a multimeter. I suspect the numbering is arbitrary.
