I pulled the parts out of the basement in prep for tomorrows install. I went to put the heat shields on and noticed there are 5 studs missing off the side of the tank. The two on the front end are there, but not the rest. I even climbed inside the giant box and they weren't in there either.

I looked on the parts diagram and they don't show up does anyone happen to have a more detailed diagram? A long shot I know. I will prob leave them off and locate something at Ace in the near future.

Probably should have checked this like 5 months ago.

Ok responding to myself. I found a pretty detailed diagrams on this site: https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/toyota/part?catalog=US&model_code=USK56L-CRTLGA&group=7751

    5 x of these: 77512-35140
2 x of these for the front: 90179-06169

I see the 26 gallon has some of the plastic push holders (first part number) I will borrow what I can from it and then purchase any if necessary. The front studs look like a standard washer and metric nut.

I attempted the install this morning, and ran into issues with the crossmember. I already hacked the lower ears off, and don't want to chop it up any further. I also can't get all the e-brake / fuel brackets loose in order to move the hardware up and I feel I need an emergency brake.

So with all this said I am going to be posting this up for sale once I hit the 50 post limit. I will discount it and would prefer not to ship. I do plan to check at work next week what it might cost to be shipped on a pallet as we have a shipping facility and a loading dock there.

And right now I don't really want to invest any more time in it either.

Give it one more go!!! Here is what you can do for the parking break issue.https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/replacing-the-tundra-26-gallon-tank-with-oe-38-gallon-tank.1101251/. This guy built off of Papasmurfs? thread. I'm sure you can get it! Notch the top of the cross member and you won't have an issue with the parking break.

I have seen that thread before and even messaged the writer as he is on here too. I didn't want to start cutting off the top of the c-member and I didn't even get to that point I never got it between the frame rails as I stopped after shimming the e-brake, and I couldn't get the rest of the bracket bolts out. Just a little frustrated. I have a new camper I have to get ready, not installing fuel tanks.

Yeah. I completely understand the frustration. Mine isn't perfect and I have thought of redoing it. It's definitely not straight forward if you want the e-brake etc. to be working properly. Have fun with the new camper and enjoy your time with it!

Did you guys have to deal with these lines on passenger side frame. You can see I have the holes already but these brake lines are on the way.

Well took a 580 mi round trip to the fishin spot and camped over night. The LRA 46 was truly a pleasure to have; totally lovin the choice to fill up where i wanted to and not where i needed to.

Here was at half tank...got 286.9
    20190525_143800.jpg

Here, was going home and gased up before the 'low light' came on...im confident i could hit about 520ish before the light comes on...20190526_123939.jpg

The tundy was weighed down wid 4 guys, gears, tools, and also towed a bote that weighed about 2500lbs. I also have a topper weighing about 300lbs and in the bote, 30gal of gas and fishin gear. Im also rockin rci front and trans skid plates too so we was purddy heavy. Total mpg for the trip was 14.45 (hand calculated). The truck computer read a healthy 13.5 average.

For how heavy we were, im very happy wid the mpg i got...considering on the way there we was going head-on into the wind.

So I didn’t want to mess with the brake lines so I went back to the truck I got the fuel tank from and took the brake lines.
I just swapped the back brake lines and these ones go over the crossmember.

Nice! How did you mount your crossmember?
Welded or drilled to put nuts and blots?

What did you do for the brake lines and parking brake clearance?

As for the emergency brake used spacer / washers and bent it up a little and that was enough for clearance. My truck is in the shop I have to check on the brake lines but I think we notched the crossmember.

since my 2015 had the holes already in the frame for the crossmember, I used nuts and bolts
    7/16 grade 8 bolts1”1/2 long.

I also had to notch the top as the holes didn’t lined up :annoyed:lol.
    1AD3638C-19FB-457D-A4FD-48110BC4E4AB.jpg

Fuel lines had to be moved up out of the way.
I used a the black holding clips that hold the fuel lines, and used them to put it against the crossmember so the lines wouldn’t rub against the crossmember.

It looks like you were even able to put bolts in the top two ears on each side? So the truck was drilled on the top of the rails already?
