But do any 6.5s work on the JBL system?
Do you have a JBL system

I had the shitty jbl system but recently swapped everything out for aftermarket. Best decision to date, besides my SCS wheels.

Speakers do not have to be JBL.

Use the Metra 70-8117 Amp Bypass Harness and you can use your Pioneer hu to power the speakers.

On the front speakers how did you wire the new ones straight from the woofer wires to the speakers? did you bypass the plug?

Yeah, do yourself a favor and get rid of everything JBL related. That was one of the first things I did when I bought my truck, and the aftermarket components sound a million times better than the factory junk.

I bought all my speakers and brackets from Best Buy. MTX and Kenwood...all 6x9. They sound good with the after market Kenwood head unit, but I need a sub!
