    Hello, first time post.

    I recently picked up a 02 SR5
    V6 2WD.
The rear diff cover is leaking. I tried cleaning and using POR15, to no avail.
So I was wondering what rear end I can swap with? Does it hVe to be a 3.4l 2WD rear end? Or can I use a rear end from a 4 wheel drive TundrA? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. Iam looking to replace the rear end. Iam not getting any definitive answers from the other thread.

I was wondering if anyone knew what rear ends were compatible with the 3.4l 2 wheel drive model? Can I use one from a v8 model or a 4wheel drive tundra?

you need to check your rear end ratio if you want the gear ratio to match. In theory, since you're 2wd, you can use any rear end you want. but you might not want to throw a 3.91 rear end from a v8 4x4 into your v6 if it came with 4.30s.
