Hands down, the best AT tire for the snow. Not a fan of their sidewalls for rocky wheeling, but for a truck that sees mostly pavement and lives in snow country, I don’t think there’s a better tire out there.

You can keep it out there. We got mostly ice. I guess over the line in Massachusetts they got hit hard. 20 miles away. My niece over the line in Foster R.I. got 6 inches. She's 15 miles away.

    EDIT: I'm a dumbass...sorry.

On another note, it appears you're in or near Hamilton? I recognize that escarpment... Specifically, that appears to be Ridge Rd.

    Don’t think he’s saying he’s “off road “. He’s driving a TRD off-road Tundra
And yes, you are a buzzkill

^^^Oh, that makes sense. Well then, that changes the whole tone of the video now, doesn't it? I'm a dumbass.

Stupid internet and its lack of inflection and emphasis.

So I went out to run some errands and look longingly at my new headlamps as I walked back and forth from my truck to each task. One of these was near a nice Forest Service road that seemed like a neat place to get a TITS pic (and pee :spy:), like this:

    IMG_20190121_101019.jpg

As I was headed back down toward the valley bottom, I noticed that there were some "snowballs" (I'm sure that there's a more technical, proper name) that I hadn't noticed on the way up which had rolled down from higher up the mountain.

    IMG_20190121_102744.jpg
    IMG_20190121_102820.jpg

So I went past this but thought I wanted to get some photos of it. I reversed and started to back up when I recalled that someone posted in another thread that they felt their truck was speed limited in reverse. This, I discovered too late, was not the road to see if this applied to my truck as well. (I later realized that it may not be limited, as I have the DAP Tune, and the speed limiter is defeated.) Well, at about 4K RPMs, I felt I was going fast enough; that's when I lost control and, "bloop", into the ditch I went. Now this would've been the perfect (literal) TITS photo, but as many of us know when something like this happens there's a kind of a panic that can set in and there's a feeling that we much attempt to extricate ourselves from the predicament without delay.

Being in four wheel drive wasn't enough, locking the center differential wasn't enough, but also being in Lo Range and gently sawing the steering wheel did the trick. I was glad to find that there was no damage, but there was a ton of snow packed up under the back side of the truck. I think that had I gone in forward, there would've been a potential for a lot of wrecked parts. I did think to get a photo of the hole though....:D

    IMG_20190121_102850.jpg

I have no idea why the last two photos are rotated, I looked for a setting to rotate them on the posting page, but didn't see anything. So figure it out.

Finally! Some actual snow. Makes the unplowed parking lots quite fun! Truck lives outside, single car garage and it doesn’t fit well....and wifey’s car gets to have that domain

First snow with the Nitto ridge grapplers and they are awesome. They handle the snow way better IMO than the Toyo AT’s I had previously. We got 6-7 inches today
