I just purchased mirrors and they come with puddle light which should turn on with either the dome light or the little light bulb where your feet are in the drivers side.
Question is, where would be the best place to get power from for this particular set up?
The dome control switch would probably be best but what color is the wire?

    I have 2017 CM SR5 Tundra.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Tap into the little light bulb housing that is for the parking brake. The puddle lights are suppose to come on when you lock, unlock or open the door. That's the perfect option for that. I tapped into that for my led strip lights for my steps.

It’s the little bulb right, it only has a power and ground wire? I haven’t really looked in the back side of it.

    Thanks for the help

Yes it's the only little tiny light that's there above the parking brake.

Good thread...exactly what I've wanted to do. My concern was if the wire going to the courtesy light was heavy enough to provide enough current for the LED's.

Tap the bigger pink wire under the drivers door sill. Worked fine here.

The footwell light should not have constant power.

Power might already be at the mirror connector.

My truck looks exactly as yours...I used two strips on each side and tapped into the wires for the foot-well light.

Which LED strips did you use? Looking into those options now. The RGB options would be nice for the purposes of red light while I'm camping. I want to wire these lights up as shown in Post #2. I'm worried those LED strips with color changing options won't play nice for my intended purposes.
