2002 "Bagheera"

Working name. Not entirely sold on it yet.

Limited with all the bells and whistles.

Things I like. 3 rows of seats. Having 3 kids and an access cab tacoma...
Leather seats.
Heated leather seats.
Heated leather Captains chairs.
Full time 4wd.
Sunroof.
V8.

Things I'm meh on.

V8 makes as much power as my 1GFR.
VSC on this thing is annoying as shit and requires fucking with the OBDII port to disable.
V8 eats exhaust manifolds like popcorn apparently.
The tiny ass tires whoever owned it before me had on there.

Needless to say it won't stay stock long.

The front speakers are blown so I've already ordered replacement foam to fix them.
Completely reconditioned the leather. It hasn't seen any love in a long time. Big ass seam tear in the drivers seat. Half fixed that.

VSC sounds like a nervous woodchuck on cocaine when it goes off.

It's gonna look good when is done though.



For reference this is my daily driver.

 

Currently I'm chasing a power problem. I'll post up in the main area, hopefully get some idea's.

But she's just had a Cat Delete which didn't solve the problem. Sounds guttural though. I love it.

 

Update: Power problem linked to timing belt being 2 teeth off. One more and it would have been eating valves my mechanic said. Sucks to be out $400 for a botched timing belt change, but happy it's not a $2000 transmission issue.

Fixed the speakers, sound brand new. Did it for $35 with a kit off of Amazon. If your speakers are done, go this route first before spending $$$ to get new speakers.

Tired upgraded to Fire Stone Fire Trail's. Bought second hand with maybe 7/32s on them. Not a lot but they'll last 2 seasons before I can upgrade to 33's. And at least now they're stock size @ 265x70R16s versus the midget tires that were on there before and leaking like a sieve.
