Yeah, It could be something simple. Usually is once you find it. Side bar....curious about those Alcans. I guess you haven't been able to test them out yet.

Not really. I took it to eel river recently and was driving all over the river rocks and the truck felt awesome and that’s with 5 33” tires in the bed. Well, 4 in the bed and one under the truck. Went to sell them up in eureka and with all that weight in the back my truck was still raked nice. I’m happy with them so far, but nothing technical yet. My Alcans were made to handle a constant extra 600 lbs at all times with the extra normal weight the original springs can handle for all my overland gear. Tent is on its way in December. Then I’m done with truck. Ok I’m lying to myself. Still need my 5.29 gears and 37s. On 35s now.

So an update on the clunk. Took off my stock pro skid and RCI tranny skid and clunk went away. I even had the rubber on it to help. But I believe my culprit is the collar on the bolt that goes on the back of the skids that get crushed and have a wedge washer and nut. But no grease in my u joints in 60 k miles isn’t good either so she goes to the dealership tomorrow just to have the master tech take a look at all the joints since I removed the skids. Damn. Pissed that it’s the skid again. I got new skid hardware just cause I removed the skid so many times and the last time I had the skid on the collars were too damaged and lost them so they weren’t on an no noise. Does everyone still use that collar?93B432E2-C427-473A-AC2A-8E2A5ED67D5B.jpg

I forgot all about those TRD skids being the culprit.

I didn’t forget. Just thought cause I replaced the hardware that it couldn’t be it. But the hardware itself is the problem. Feel like a jackass. I greased damn near everything on the truck I could and torqued all the suspension bolts and drive shaft bolts. Went to town just to remove skids and no noise. Does the RCI engine skid have this issue? Anybody have them and still had to put the rubber spacers?

I’m not aware of that issue with RCI skids.
