I have 2017 Platinum. I took it in last week for the bumper recall. I picked it up and later noticed something doesn’t look right. It seems like the bumper is now about an inch further away from the body. I know drying my truck before, I have almost gotten my finger stuck drying the the gap between the bumper and body (right behind the wheel wells). Now after the recall I can get 3 fingers in that gap. I took it back to the dealer and they said it is right. Went and looked at some ‘18s on the lot and they have the larger gap. They had a used 15 and the gap on it was like mine used to be and could barely get a finger in it. Anyone else tonite that?

I didn't notice that when I had my '16 done but that was over a year ago.

You don’t need to worry. You have the SR5 package. This recall was for the higher trim packages.

I had it done and it was due to plastic that was used as support on the rear bumper ends. If you were to damage the bumper ends from a bump you then could take a fall if you stepped on the bumper end. The plastic support was replaced with steel. Another note, make sure when take out the sensors that the wiring is put back the way it's supposed to be.

Dealership did my 16 last year. I have a gap below the tailgate but it was different before they did the recall. I'm living with it.

There is supposed to be a gap below your tailgate otherwise the gate wouldn’t open. Your bumper looks right from my point of veiw.

Uh. I have a '16 SR5 and received the recall and had it done?

Make sure they get the bumper back on correctly. I had to take mine back because the guy put it on crooked putting more gap on one side than the other.

My gap stayed the same on mine. I've always had a decent gap in it though.
