Cranked the Kings down a tad and have a cunt-hair of clearance

I’m showing 10 threads on the Kings (2” lift). With the CB spacer, I should be at 2.5” total.

I see you have shims on top, are the 4 bolts up top buttoned down?
This picture looks like it has a little gap.

Yea, that’s the first thing I thought of - so I tried to tighten them all up before test-driving. I blue lock-tighted them, and they’re freaking tight.
If you’ve ever heard a blown shock before, this is exactly what it sounds like. Even down to how when a blown shock is noticed, it’s over quick holes/rough terrain. (But I don’t get the floaty effect).
Pretty much the complete opposite of how a King should react.
I would imagine there are never Kings that have issues if installed new right? The driver side, and rears all seem perfect - and the way I would think a King would ride.
I’ll take it to the alignment shop tomorrow and have them go through it.

How about to compensate for the driver side lean, i measured my truck and the right side on the front is like on inch lower then the left! I’m concerned if I crank my kings that the ride will feel different !

Yea, that’s why you’re supposed to do the CB shims. They provide 1/2” lift.
So you put 1 CB on passenger side, and 2 on driver side.
Eta - what’s wierd, is my truck was perfectly level before I took off my TRD w/ spacers. I had zero Tundra lean and have pictures to prove it.
Now all of the sudden, I have Tundra lean LOL.

I've seen brand new shocks leak upon install.(fittings were loose out the box) We're all human, we all make mistakes. Some manufactures send out some duds, but all usually do a pretty good job taking care of their customers.

Definitely have a look. Maybe just remove the shim and just adjust accordingly? I doubt its your ball joint. Leaky doesn't always mean donzo. Just keep an eye on em in the future.

Yea, I’ll pull the spacer - after adjusting the King down, I’m still sitting high on passenger, and this happens to be the problematic side.

Those bushings are called miss alignment spacers.

There are one on each side. This give a lot more flexibility.

I just got the truck out from Alignment and I’m heading up hunting. So far it feels better - i’ve noticed a little noise in the front end but not much . I also have the icon Delta joint arms on now as well.
I might have to pull the wheel when I get back in check to see if I did indeed install that lower shock shaft in backwards.
thank all you guys for your awesome help I really appreciate it !!!!!

She said why in the hell is your truck higher!?! You lifted it!!! LOL!!!
I said they all come that way babe they’re adjustable. She said how much more did that cost and I said I don’t know couple hundred bucks or so but I don’t have to buy shocks ever again because theyre rebuilable LOL
I’m not sure she’s going to buy the dirty deeds box that shows up and says you won a raffle LOL

Isn't that spacer on the bottom of the shock supposed to be the other way so it pushes the shock towards the front of the truck a bit?

that's because factory TRD shocks are already designed to compensate for the lean. once you go to King you go to same height on each side. I opted to put more preload on driver side than passenger. I did not want to add spacers on top to correct it. kinda defeats the purpose of going with coilovers. i think i have 5 more turns on driver vs passenger. Rides perfect.

and yes it's tight there with the King shaft. check your sway bar too. mine was rubbing. alignment should fix all of that.

    All stock-ish. Powdercoated blue suspension.
Another way to turn the CO if that perfect spring compressor isn't accessible is to separate the UCA from the spindle and the coil collar spins like a breeze!

Clunck can come from low Nitrogen pressure too. Should be between 150psi and 250psi. I run about 185psi

Up hunting - don’t have much for cell service lol Weather is waaaay too nice for hunting deer. Going to be a bunk weekend I think. Zero shots fired opening morning is a baaaad sign lol.

So on the way to my hike this am - traveled on gravel some.
There is a problem, and I’m almost positive you guys are dead-nuts correct on that lower alignment bushing.
The truck drove waaaay better on the twisties/pavement coming up. I couldn’t believe how planted it was! I drove the shit out of the back roads :)
The clunk come from sudden impacts, say a 3” sized rock, a transition in concrete to asphalt where there is a gap/etc.
Really hoping that bushing is the ticket! Can’t wait for my right side to be as nice as the left lol :)

I had no idea the TRD’s were designed this way!
So I did end up putting the 2nd CB spacer on the driver side and it did correct the lean perfectly in the front.
Although with a full tank of fuel, my rear driver side sits 3/4” lower than passenger. Front is level.
