If you're gonna go with a male name, Ironhide seems like a fitting name as well.

I did some shade tree mechanic work today. Dressed up the R/L lower front fender liner thing a ma bobs. Still want to grind away a little on the fog light bracket dilly bobs...

rtrtrt.jpg You definitely want to retain these. Especially to protect any water from getting anywhere close to the AIP air tube on the passenger side.. Think about it. By the way, HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all fathers here :oldglory:

Nothing like 90 degrees in the shade. The good thing is you have to drink your beer faster to keep it from getting warm.

No, that's not the Grand Canyon/Mars in the pic fore ground, Cooper STT's Pro threads. Scary isn't it..............? (What's truly scary is why NITTO's are so expensive. These tires are $100+ cheaper, as good or better quality build, USA made (Like NITTO M/T's) and surprisingly not obnoxiously loud on the pavement. :oldglory: NITTO's don't suck, by the way. Same thing with Toyo's. Toyo's are also very good but over priced. IMO

Going to put this on today. I little more peace of mind for $8.50. My AAL + Toytec shackles give 2.5"+ lift, the same as OME Dakar leafs. This relocation kit is recommended with 2.5" or more rear lift.

ABS/Brake line relocate kit installed. 15 minutes ($8.50):

5.jpg Plenty of slack for brake lines.

OK, Hell froze over. I actually got rid of some chrome. Don't panic. It wasn't much chrome:

I want to black out the rest of the grille chrome. The surface is in still pretty decent condition. I may try to paint my self. Worst case scenario is that I take the grille down to MAACO. Not exactly looking for show car finish.

I decided to stop by MAACO after work. Won't hurt to get an estimate for color matched paint.

Planning on plasti dipping my emblem this weekend, though I'm kind of hesitant to black out all my badges. Too much black would overpower the tan paint I think.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
You know you want to convert to all color-matched or black instead of chrome. Your being infected with the "no chrome" virus.

$75. I do all the prep. I've heard MAACO skimps when it comes to prepping. I'll probably get it done after my vacation.
The rear bumper is definitely going to get swapped out sooner than later. I'm still leaning towards the Ranch Hand "Sport" rear bumper. It's more utilitarian looking than "sport" but well built and in my budget. (and better than stock and not chrome) Still deciding on what I'm going to do with the front.

[IMG]Not too sporty looking but at least I'll still be able climb up on it without breaking a leg and it does have the side toe cutouts. I haven't totally decided yet.
