Good info thanks. So if the 285 is equivalent to the 35, what is the 295 equivalent to? I am thinking Coachbuilder “3+1” which seems to be pretty popular kit - anyone know the exact amount of lift this set will give me? Maybe my truck IS in fact level and my eyes are deceiving me... I have also been a member of the 4runner forum as I have a T4R that Ive been tinkering with and there are some veteran members who believe running wheel spacers can be dangerous. Havent seen much negative talk over here. Funny thing, I have a set of 4 brand new Spidertraxx for the 4runner that I never even took out of the box - just ended up getting new weeks with proper backspacing. Wonder if they would trade these for a set for the Tundra so I could use my stock wheels? Anyone know those folks?

Nice truck and congrats on the purchase.
I'm of the opinion that if the truck has fender flares, the tires need to stick out to the edge of the fender flares or even a bit more. Just my opinion though.

I totally agree. Now just to find a wheel I want, with the correct offset and for a decent price. Is there any need/requirement to havw an 18” tall wheel over a 17”? I put new 17” wheels on my 4runner and with 285/70-17 Ridge Grapplers it looks perfect and tires come out just wider than wheel well flares- looks great.

Howdy to all the recent welcomes. So, I am now torn between a ReadyLIFT 4” kit and the Coachbuilder kit. I have emailed, PM’d and tried to call David at Coachbuilder to discuss and no response - and voicemail is full. Maybe he is out of town?? I’m hoping to run 35x12.50 or maybe 305x70 with 17 or 18” wheels with proper offset. I want it to look right and not “squatty”, yet not looked like a high-schooler’s jacked up dream truck (haha I know, I have a high-schooler). Also I will just keep existing spare. Can one of you kind folks help guide me a little. I could not find a thread comparing the two and I’m ready to order now. Thanks for any advice and sorry if this is wrong forum area...?

He has always personally answered the phone when I called. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Very helpful. He must be out of pocket. Keep trying.

Ok thanks. Also wondering about the ReadyLIFT +2 or the 3/2 kit... Since my Pro is supposed to already be level, the 3/2 may be wrong kit... Finally, if RL becomes the right choice, is there a preferred resource here to purchase one?

You aren't going to get a full size spare? If not, take the spare off and leave it in your garage to save weight on your truck, since you won't be able to use it on your truck anyways. Maybe you could use it on the front in an emergency to go a couple miles, but I wouldn't.
I called David a couple of time when I had my Pro and he answered right away, so you might be right that he is out of town or something.
Are you planning on using your truck offroad?

Yes sir @GodlessPro , I will be using it offroad on my deer lease off and on each year. Interesting point on the spare - it cannot be used at all just to get a short distance to a shop?

Don't ever put in on the rear axle and never on the front if you are in 4 wheel drive. If you are going a short distance you might be able to get away with it on the front, but I wouldn't chance it.

Got it thank you. Maybe find a larger used spare. Do i need a full 35” spare or maybe 285 or 295 be ok? From what I read here there can be fitment issues with these lifts and larger spares...?

35 can fit under the bed. Just need to cut the tabs out of the way. Dual exhaust would be a problem.

Cut or drill out the spare tire guides under the bed. The Coachbuilder shackles make fitting a large spare challenging, but I was able to fit a full 35" under there. It became a 2 person operation, one to crank it up and another to position it. A lot of 35" tires are really only 34.5", so check the specs on the specific tires that you are considering.
