Would it be at all possible to swap in, say a 2017 ECU into a 2018 Tundra, bypassing the TSS system and granting the ability to tune, supercharge, etc? Asking for a friend.

    I’m going to guess no.

I’ve swapped my 2013’s ecu for a 2010 and the truck ran, except in heavy throttle conditions. The pin outs from ecu to harness were in different spots so the fuel pump didn’t get kicked into high speed under boost. The truck would fall on its face and nearly shut off under boost.

According to Mat at OVtuning the 2018 ecu is completely different from 17’ and older.

Thank you for the reply, I feared that would be the case but the thought popped in my head and I was hoping it wasnt a pipe dream.

On a side note, I just purchased my Tundra a couple of days ago and you sir at near the top of the list of vendors I plan to contact in near future for mods, (after lift and tires) I will contact you at a later date via phone for guidance if you dont mind. My question I have for you now though is, do you offer installation on your products? (Exhaust systems and gears, etc) or are you fabrication and sales only?

I work with a shop to provide installation.

I focus on fabrication and shipping of products.

I can also help with lift and tires. Definitely hit me up with any questions.
