Hey fellow Tundra aficionados. I am in the market for a budget tonneau cover. I would love to get a Bakflip MX4, but my budget will not allow. So, instead I am considering a soft tonneau like the American soft tonneau you see here:
    https://www.realtruck.com/american-soft-rolling-tonneau-cover/R184843P2018Y610MA.html

anyone have experience with this brand, or have a solid rec for a cheap, but not cheaply made, tonneau?

    A bunch
If you're patient you may get a great deal on a tonneau cover second hand. I got a Bakflip HD for 50$ because it needed some parts, but a little work and $100 in parts and I have a solid tri-fold cover to stop the thiefs who cut fabric tonneaus. Downside to that is it took a long time to try and sell my old Retrax and couldn't get as much as I'd like for it.

I had TunnuPro on my 16 Silverado for nearly 3 years and then I traded in for the Tundra.. I would like TunnoPro again if it comes to it. the search is on!

BTW, there's heeps of folks selling the exact (or close to exact) models as TunnoPro on eBay, i wouldn't be surprised if TunnoPro sources it's products from the same place and just rebadge it. My Coworker has one that is not tunnoPro and looks exactly like it but his is on a Ford F150.

I landed on the American Tonneau soft tonneau cover. It looks amazing, and it has support bars on it so it could support a little weight if needed. Solid product.

I got the Tyger bed cover from Amazon. Very good quality for the price and works very well. Seals the bed excellent. No leaks. Any cover that sits on top of the side rails of the bed will perform better than a flush style cover like backflip.

agreed. I always have a dry bed with my cover, and Florida definitely knows how to rain.

I don't have the rail system I was speaking about the top side of the bed railing. As far as clamping the front of the bed has acre clamps with emergency strap clamps and the rear is just pressurized screw handles.

Sounds nice! Let's see some pics! The Truxedo ProX15 also has support bars (two) and can hold up to 250lbs (IIRC) evenly dispersed. I asked because of the snow we get here.
