Clicking sound when turning

I have a 2005 4x4. When I crank my tires all the way to the left to try and do a u turn, A clicking sound occurs. It isn't rapid, it is just once or twice. Took it into a mechanic and he gave it back saying he couldn't find anything wrong. Has anyone else experienced this and could point me in the right direction

Bad CV joint boots or joints themselves.
Possibly a loose lower control arm / alignment cam bolt.
