    I cant see how the tube fits over the spring and clips in or am i doing something backwards?

    It should make more sense when you see the one you take out of the truck. Those little tabs that stick out further than everything else line up between the two ears on each side. You may have to bend them to twist the thing into place and then bend them back down. Again I have heard of guys that didn’t have to bend them at all to twist the tube into its place.

    Cool thanks! I bent the tabs up to get it to twist into place. Somehow i forgot about the whole bending the tabs deal. I have about 300 more miles to go before the change. So, end of next week. Got the Mobile 1 on sale at Costco.

    Don’t forget to use the longer tube from your existing cartridge. Were you just practicing with that short tube? LOL

    I knew i had to start doing my own changes when the dealership charged me $106 and change PLUS tax last time.

    Just ordered my replacement due to same issue others have experienced:

    Last change was at 20k service by dealership. I was diy change at 25k miles but the dealer must’ve used an impact wrench or something bc I had to use my Milwaukee M18 impact wrench at setting 3 to get it off! Did the change, no leaks. Today I notice oil soothes on the ground. Looked underneath and my whole underside of engine was oily. After investigating, it looks like it leaks from one side of the plastic housing only when the engine is running; must be pressure related and probably sprayed out when I’m accelerating. So I’m sure the plastic housing cracked. So now I have to wait until it arrives via Amazon. I’ll need a good underside cleaning after the replacement and change. Don’t know what the dealer is thinking by overtorquing.
