Demo is done save a couple minor things that will get taken care of Tuesday.

Taking the shower from a 3x3 insert fiberglass to a 4x3 tiled shower
Going to go be pretty awesome if it all come together right.

Will get that mess of a plumbing job redone and move the shower head up about 6 inches.
New shower valve and washer valve box going in. Figured hey the walls open might as well.
    Updates over the next week

Nice man! I’m in the process of doing the same thing! I had the fiberglass panels and went to the tile. Yours has the cemented bottom it looks like. I had the pan so I had to have mine done so i could tile it.

Its a slab floor, but a pan will still need to be made with a curb, I have a tile guy doing all of that. Not sure if I can get the slope and the drain set right, hired a pro to do it.

    Flux capacitor!
Congrats on the new shower. Are you going to replace the shower valve before you cover the wall? Do you plan to have a shower pan or a liner and mud set for the base?

Not going to let the cat out of the bag yet, There are 3 types of tile going into the shower, nothing real crazy but I got a great price on the 12x12, $6.86 case, so that's going to be the majority of the shower, as well as the floors in the entry, dining, kitchen and utility rooms.

Update, not a lot happened this week, plumbing was moved, shower valve mounted, washer valve box replaced, drain was set, more sheetrock was cut back, a few more little things like that. We have had a ton of rain and I do not have a garage or carport, so they could not cut the hardibacker or set up his saws outside. Rain should end today and be clear all next week.
Tile guy parked his trailer here and said on Monday things will get moving.

Just do some research, buy some tools, and do it yourself. During our recent home remodel, I contracted the tile work for one bathroom out and asked the guy if I could just tail him and watch his work and learn. He said no problem. Then, I watched a ton of videos on youtube, did a lot of reading, visited several tile places, and tackled the guest bathroom myself. Mine turned out better than the one I contracted out, IMO. It is tedious work, but I actually kind of enjoy it. Nothing like slinging mud.

OP: That tile work looks awesome!

    Agreed!
Tile work can be "DIYed" if you do all your homework first, and put on your patience cap. I work for one of the major manufacturers in the mortar/adhesive/grout marketplace. I'm happy to help anyone that needs it, just shoot me a PM.

@RLHOK that tile layout looks great!
What color grout are you going with?

Looking nice, good pick on the tile.

Just curious as to how much the plumber charged you to redo the valve and everything. I know my dad said it wasn't cheap when he had his bathroom redone, almost a grand for him to completely redo all the pipes and valves for a tub/shower combo, said he was there for most of the day.
