Anyone here good with fiberglass work? (Or good at photoshop for starters LOL)
I am thinking of getting a spare hood bulge and filling in the scoop. I like my Sport hood scoop, but the double scoop is a litttle much. Instead of removing the top scoop and look like everyone else, I was thinking of doing something a little different and delete the bottom scoop. Opinions?

I think that would look good. I like the hood scoop but double scoop is a bit much.

That seems like alot of work. I agree with the bulge and scoop is a little much. How about you take out the black part of the bulge and paint it white. Probly the easier option.

i drove the 2019 TRD Pro last week. i also felt like the double scoop was too much. it seemed really hard to see over the hood, to the right side of the vehicle. almost seemed like a possible safety issue (for me anyway..).

    beautiful truck by the way

Did you notice the hood rattling at all? Our 4-Runner Pro has the upper scoop and it seems like it makes the hood rattle a bit.

Not a big fan of the upper scoop in the new pro or the red circles they added on the new pro hubs. I'm a little biased but I like the subtleness of the old Pro's.

I have not noticed any rattling or vibration.
I agree about the scoop. I like everything of the Sport package, except the scoop. Some days I like it, some days I don't. If it was an option, I would have deleted it.

That's good (the non-rattle). It would be one thing if they added the extra scoop because it had a function, but two scoops with with plastic fillers is a bit too much.
It's still a nice looking truck though. Honestly, my opinion doesn't really matter. I bitched about how horrible the 2014 refresh looked, until I saw one in person (I almost was run over by one). The next day, I went and traded my Platinum in for a 1794 edition. Although I don't see me trading in my Pro any time soon...

@TaquitoBandito - nope, no rattle from what i could tell. as always the fit and finish on the Pro is very good.

just too pricey for me ($61k) in my area

I have not thought about that. I was thinking of doing it in the big scoop. I do construction management so I am thinking of adding strobe lights for when working along highways, so I was thinking about putting them in the lower scoop, similar to the LEDs people put in there. I don't think I will be able to wire to the small scoop. The bulge is open and there is access to the back for wiring.

Understood. I had a hell of a trade-in on my 1794 - if I hadn't, I wouldn't have my Pro. It was definitely on the high end of what I wanted to pay. $61k is just ridiculous.

Anyways, I believe I officially hijacked the thread.

    Sorry, and carry on...

I liked the scoop on my '00 4-Runner. Thought it looked pretty good. Not really a fan on the '19. Just redundantly redundant for something non-functional. Wonder if they are still planning a 2020 or 2021 update and if they will continue with the "scoop?"

Nay, covered bulge looks like it had Botox and draws attention to the small fake one. I’d maybe put a light bar in the big one instead.

Reminds me of a beluga whale. I would definitely put a light bar in the hood bulge. Would most likely cost less than filling it in too.

For some reason I just don't like the bulge scoop. It looks out of place. Traditionally a scoop is on top of the hood, not on top of the grill.

I originally wanted a sport with the scoop. My taco has a scoop formed into the actual hood. The scoop on the tundra looks like it is a sticker. Reminded me of the ghetto where they add stick on side vents and cheesy shit. If Toyota would have built an actual hood then it would have been for me.
