112 in Yuma Friday too. Only supposed to hit 103 today. No humidity as long as no storms down south. No cold water in faucets until late October.

82 today. A welcome warming from the last few days with rain. 91 tomorrow and mid 80's the rest of the week. It will be triple digits by first week of July, usually.

I was waiting on someone from Arizona to chime in. Friend of mine would always counter me when i said it was hot.
Me: Damn, it's hot out here!
    Him: How hot is it?
    M: About 100 degrees
Him: That's cute, it's currently 110+ in Phoenix....
    M: .......

Was is Vegas once (before I was retired) at a Starbucks, LEO asks how many years? Around 17 (Maybe my haircut?) He asked, how ya like Vegas? Too damn hot I said. We exchanged emails (he was a patch collector). I said, I saw your seatbelt warning. First time I saw an agency warn me about touching it as opposed to wearing it. I asked, Is that a thing. He said ABSAFUKNLUTLY.

Incredible heat heat down there. My hats off to all the utility companies, fire, medic, LEO, and military. Hot with gear sucks.

On a side note the drink I always got in the valley was a quad expresso over a cup full of ice with two sugars and cream. The ice melts in a crown vic between the trans tunnel and the drivers seat, forward of the rifle. You can nurse that drink for three hours in an AC environment. I shared that with him. Hopefully it helped him.

Keep cool gents and don't forget to carry... Even when it's hot.

    What’s the heat index?

Over here in KC we had a rain storm today temp went to the low 80s which is nice considering yesterday was 97-100 with humidity. The next few days the cooldown will continue with Thursday only being about 76 degrees for a high. Rain will be on and off for those few days too.

Only 103 here today, but I’ve literally worked in the worst of it. Ran a job in Death Valley for a year with one day recorded at 134. Ran a job at Florence AZ the summer that we set a record for the most consecutive days with a high above 120. On that one, I had at least 2 men collapse every day for 6 weeks.
