Good suggestion. That's cheaper than I thought. I'll check into it

OK all. I can NOT take credit for this. I believe there is a "how to" in the forums here. Also, I did NOT do this myself. I am having some audio upgrades done to my Tundra and I brought this idea to the installers and they executed this perfectly. It was my idea to add the LEDs above the door handle but I'm sure this has been done before as well. The illumination is in all 4 doors and comes on with the ignition or when I remotely unlock the doors with the security system. I chose to go with the red illumination strictly for night vision. Red is used in the Military so their night vision is not affected by bright or bright white colors. I plan to continue to use red throughout the inside of the vehicle for that reason. I have some additional lighting mods planned for both the interior and exterior in the future when $$$$ are available.

I also ordered this and it was modified for my setup.

All the more reason to apply a ceramic coating. However the proper paint prep is essential.

Someone posted a thread here a couple of months ago about free horsepower. It raised the issue that your floor mats keep the throttle from going down as far as it would otherwise. So I've been thinking about that. I'm off today and got bored so I tried this mod. The back of the throttle has an arch to it so that it doesn't need complete clearance from the floor mat. I believe that's visible in the first pic. Using a sharp knife, I cut out an area through the Husky X Contour Mat for the back of the throttle to be able to go through the mat. Next, I measured the thickness of the mat at 115 in. Which you can see in the second pic. Who knows how much difference it will make, but now I don't have to think about it.20180615_154920.jpg

probably won't make any difference at all, as I'm pretty sure our trucks accelerators aren't directly connected via cable to the throttle body, we're drive by wire.

I'm not sure if I post it on here a few months ago but my window on my passenger side came undone from the clips with from the glue and I used a 5 to 10 minute epoxy and now it came undone again anybody here have any good connections with their Toyota dealership and know what kind of glue they use?

A little of this and a little of that.

I bet Gorilla Glue would do the trick. Otherwise you could call Safelite and see what they use to glue glass together

Not sure i see the difference. If anything prevents the full travel of the accelerator, then you're not getting all of it are you?

It doesn't really take anyone else's help. Just mash it to the floor with your hand. The accelerator pedal now goes right through that hole, and down to the installed carpet.

It has always bugged me that my truck wouldn't go all the way to redline when I floored it. I haven't given it a test drive since I made the cut , but maybe this is the answer.

Thanks. It's tire shine on both. I clean the tires and wheels Wells with purple power, use a brush on the tires and a rag in the wheel wells. After it dries then I spray them down and wipe off the excess. This is what I use.

I have ruby red. Also red inserts in the cup holders etc. I think it looks great and goes great together. Also there is a ring for the key ignition spot.

Looks great. I meant to ask u guys that did it. How's them cheap ultra slim led reverse lights holding up. Very mixed reviews online I'm seeing. Just curious how's yours holding up, still working, any water in them, and how u ended up mounting?
