Diff breather

Just wondering if I need this mod.im backing boat in lake every weekend and some times you’ve got to back in pretty far to get the boat to come off trailer and the stock diff breather sits right on top of rear axle.any thoughts would be appreciated

 

It’s a cheap and easy mod to do. I definitely would.

 

Not sure if “needed” but would be good to keep water out of the diff. I did mine and I’m barely close to water. It’s a quick, cheap and easy mod to do and help protect the diff; so do it IMO.

 

I figure they put the front diff breather up in the engine bay the rear should at least be the same. Do it! There’s a good write up around here somewhere. most people put it up behind the tail light on the driver side.

 

Thanks guys I just order one from arb they have a kit they sell comes with everything,at least it will make me feel better when backing into the lake

 

Wise choice! I bought the ARB too. There is a much cheaper way to fab your own if you are DIYer and I would have but was posted after I bought my ARB. All is good though!

 

About halfway down my build pictures is where I put mine behind the drivers taillight. Easy mod.
